The people in that soulseek thread you are referring to where no secret...at the time it was Zues, Jedi Chris and Titsworth...these days I get on with Zues, me and Chris chat on Soulseek when he and I are both on and Titsworth is still a cunt. The only thing I didn't like about what Chris posted in that thread was that it made it look like I had said something bad about nacmat which was wrong because I like nacmat. That is the only time the Soulseek thing has came up or even mentioned as far as I can remember. i don't know why i keep reading pitchfork, i guess for shits and giggles since i either feel indifferent about their musical opinion or immediately decide that the opposite of what they're saying must be true, but i've noticed that for the last month or so pitchfork have really, really, REALLY been on jay's dick. they're such fakes and so self-conscious about being correctly perceived as fakes that they have to go out of their way now to praise extremely mainstream (multiplatinum artists) to avoid being pigeonholed as trendy, which of course they are. it's sad. jay's good but they need to move on to the next backup plan, i don't think many people are buying pitchfork's constant pronouncements of jay-z as the best rapper in the world. |

btw diablo that's a good dis track (i agree with primo, nas ate him on "ether") and i think nas is a much better lyricist but jay's released better albums. it's sad but he's had the media and public on his side now forever so that's helped him a lot. nas has been the underdog since the source awards when nas lost album of the year (illmatic) to BIG (ready to die). nas has some good albums (first 2, last 2) and i like what he says in interviews (i allign with it a lot myself as a fellow rabblerouser) but he's as guilty of hypocrisy as jay so let's not front. |
