yr not weird. and that's unfortunate. because i'd much
rather yr attitudes toward sex were extraordinary.

> i guess it just disappoints me that it seems the future
generation is going to have no concept of what things such
as love and respect and morals are

blah, blah, blah, 'kids these days', you wanker. your values
are a reflection of the selfsame christian flight from
sexuality and denial of life. consensual sex is wonderful &
intimate & FUN with or without love. how dare you condemn it
(and condemn others) when you've never even tried? you have,
at your age and with your experience, no clue what sex is
about.

> i'm live by that code so much that i hate the word sex. it
just strips away all of the emotion and feeling from the
actual act

again, how the fuck would you know? well, this attitude is
just the product of you quivering in your briefs, feeling
insecure. most of the kids around you are happily shagging,
and this is a moralizing footstool you can stand on and wag
your finger at others and feel saintly as opposed to
rejected. you would 'never demean yourself'.. give me a
fucking break.

okay, for one, i'm not fukcing christian

in fact, i have no religion, or faith at all

and two, what is wrong with thinking that "sex" should be
done with love?

i wasn't condemning anyone, i was just giving out my
opinion, as you are

btw, i didn't realise they used to word wanker over there,
are you originally from Canada?
i only ask as its usually a british thing

someone else's viewpoint. Surprised this one took so long.
And fair enough, after all, it's your viewpoint.

'i can see nothing further than this land & christianity'
---

oh, the woeful bit is that you are too a christian,
regardless of your faith or lack thereof -- all their
puritan, life-denying values seeped into you.

you wanker.

I have to agree that sex without love may be fun, but it's
not a patch on "making love" when you're in love.

I just knew someone would think that "oh you're standing on
this moral high ground cos you have to justify your
inability to get sex", well if you just open your mind, just
a little teensy bit wider, maybe you can see that some
people genuinely have had different experiences than you.

hey man, fuck you

dont you dare fucking call me something i aint, okay?

yeah, i might be a wanker (in the derogatory sense of the
word, not literal..lol)

but i ain't no fucking christian

if i was a christian i would believe in sex only after
marriage, which is bullshit

okay, i'm sorry that i seem to have offended you, but i
don't think i've done or said anything in this post which
justifies you calling me a christian

christian...man...fuck that...I ain't no christian man.

Didn't you say before you don't masturbate? Because you
aren't a wanker either in that case.

that's what i said

IMO there's two meanings for wanker

1. someone who masturbates

or

2. someone who is a prat, dickhead, etc etc etc

i was agreeing that yeah, i probably am a dickhead, wanker,
prat, etc etc etc

xceque, i agree absolutely -- sex with love etc. is great,
and nothing is a substitute. i am just so incredulous that
someone could so condemn an act they've never tried & that
doesn't hurt anyone (au contraire).

and oscillik -- you don't masturbate, either? sucks for you

if i was bashing anybody in my post, i was bashing those who
deceive their partners by swearing to their faces that they
love them, and then the next second fucking the person they
see at a club

it happened to me and it hurt me

don't blame me for having a vested complication with

lol

:)

yeah, it's a gested complication

i admit, i worded things wrong, and i fucked up what i meant
to say originally

i never meant for my post to bash people who like to live
what i would consider a 'wild' life

and i never said that it would be fun, because i imagine it
would be fun, but i'm not the kind of person to do that.

id need to be with someone who genuinely cared about me and
who loved me to be able to do things which to me are very
intimate and personal.

in actuallity people who can let go of their inhibitions are
probably better people for it, as they would have no problem
speaking their mind, etc etc etc

i don't have a problem speaking my mind and stuff like that,
it's just that some things...to me anyways...are meant for
one person, and that will always be the person i love, and
who loves me too

some people think that stapling their testicular sacs to

but i don't

i guess what i was trying to say is that it's almost as if

if i was to walk into a shop to buy my groceries, and i said
hello to the shopkeeper, smiled, and asked how their day was
going etc etc etc, they'd think i was a weirdo or something

The original post concerned the growing "lad culture" rather
than sexual mores specifically. Though attitudes towards
casual sex and away from commitment to lastining
meaningful relationships
is part of the problem. But not
a huge part. In fact, none of the problems are huge ones,
but there's many and they all add up.

There's less respect for people's own ways, more
intolerance, less seriousness towards marriage and family,
less respect for other's property etc. It all helps wear
down. Urban life in particular, with lots of street crime.
And these dubious attitudes are passed down from parent to
child who grow up to pass to their own children, and each
time the morality slips a little more.

Ok, you may now shoot me for sounding like my dad.

humph, maybe. but the wane of lifelong monogamy is in part
the result of the institution historically being very
exclusionary + burdened with ancient opressions. i'd wager
i'm just as pissed off as oscillik is at the prevelant

here's an example, a story

i met my beloved whilst i was in college.

Now, this college is Halton College in Widnes....the
mainstay of which is Liverpudlians, or Widnesians or people
from Runcorn....anyways, at the kind of age range we're
talking about (16-20) the attitude is very "laddish"

I was going to see my girlfriend for the first time in
months, it's a two hour coach ride away. I wanted to buy her
a rose, because she had told me on a previous occasion that
she had never been bought a rose, and that she would really
like one. So I bought her the rose.

Trouble is, i had to go to college in the morning. The coach
was at 12 noon.

I had to walk around college with a rose in my hand. Now if
you've ever bought a rose you'd know that they're not
exactly discreet things, they're quite long, and with the
wrapping and whatnot on it, it's a big advertisment to say
"i'm in love"

the amount of abuse i got from people was obscene

just because i was carrying around a symbol of love, i was
being segregated and mocked

:(

i don't regret it, i'd walk thru coal, and i would "staple
my nads to a desk" if it was the only way to prove to my
beloved that i loved her

it's just that.....well, there was no need for that abuse
