anyone think i'm weird?

offline oscillik from the fires of orc on 2003-08-24 08:37 [#00834690]

I'm 19 (20 in October)

I live in quite an urban part of England, and rather a rough
part too.

The average 14-27 year olds round here drink, smoke, do
drugs, have no morals, and would fuck anything that's
slightly moist.

I however have never smoked, done drugs, i got drunk once at
a college bash (NEVER again, i fucking HATE
beer/lager/whatever the fuck you wanna call it) and i would
never demean myself to play around with anyone else as i
have a very strict and high moral code.

Am i weird?

I am indeed in the minority in these parts...just wanted he
opinion of you guys in here...

hmmm... for them you are weird I guess. But they are weird
to you.

So... I just think there's a difference in interests.

You seem normal to me, allthough I do drink and get drunk.

You'll be quite allright I guess.

lol

thanks guys

i guess it just disappoints me that it seems the future
generation is going to have no concept of what things such
as love and respect and morals are

i know that since the beginnings of time, things like sex
have always been a thing that's pressured upon by peers in
your teens, but it seems that nowadays it's more rife than
ever, and with all the teenage pregnancies and whatnot.....

it's just very disappointing

You're not weird. I hate "lad culture" too. Never smoked or
done drugs and don't like the taste of alcohol, though I
will drink to be sociable ...if I absolutely fucking have to
:p

Just don't try to be friends with any of the other crowd. It
won't work and they'll just try to kick the crap out of
you:

Them: "Kill him!"
You: "But why"
Them: "Cos you used some words I didn't understand and
didn't mention football, beer and tits all in one
sentence."

I like footy, drugs, lager and women, but I also like this
electronic music stuff which negates any 'coolness' I get
from the first four.

So in conclusion it doesn't matter what you are like so long
as you are like yourself.

i am like you oscillik, except that i'm 17 years old,
am vegetarian, and do not have any sexual activity,
excepted dreams - because of, i guess, that feeling of
frustration incompatibility towards my self and body. i
never even got to masturbate, i tried but i just feel too
uncomfortable, it reminds me of what i am and so i stop. i
kinda like alcohol though, but i did get drunk at a party
only once as well. (because i'm never invited to parties i
guess... meh. *shrugs* ' _ ')

I'm with you on bikes and cars... never understood what
people find so appealing about cars, and that Jeremy
Clarkson royally pisses me off. Smug twat. I'm quite happy
with a nice bit-o-porn though!

So in conclusion it doesn't matter what you are like so long
as you are like yourself, except when there are steaming
lads around, in which case just keep quiet and hope they
don't notice you cos you just know they'll direct their
group attention to you and start taking the piss cos you're
not openly enjoying the same things they are, and aren't
shouting unintelligably at a mate three streets away.

well, i live by the code that sex should only be done if
it's with someone you love

i'm live by that code so much that i hate the word sex. it
just strips away all of the emotion and feeling from the
actual act

i'm mushy - i call it 'making love'

sex is something that those people who have one nights
stands have.

as that is the case, i have only had one sexual partner, and
i'm still with her, and i plan on being with her for the
rest of my life.

i also had my first kiss with her, she was the first person
to hold my hand, the first person to hug me, etc etc etc

lol

liked that last sentence

hehe

i am proud that i am the way i am, i wouldn't want it any
different

i just wish that i could be tolerated just a little more
than i am, and that people would stop expecting me to be
into football

anyone who i meet who's new, the first thing they ask

"what team do you support?"

ARRRRRRRRRRRGHH!

I agree that sex should only be done with someone you
love...I am just lucky I fall in love so quickly and often.
I call it 'rutting' as opposed to 'making love' but they
mean the same thing.

I have only had one sexual partner for three months now, so
at least I am being faithful.

Never be ashamed of who you are...if people start making fun
of you because you don't like the same things as them, cut
them with a knife, they will soon grow to like you.

welcome to hell kid, especially if you end up at uni and are
surrounded by this world every day.

In any event, always remember to remain humble. You feel
you have made the right choices, and I agree, however, it is
of the utmost to not manifest this into feelings of
superiority over others who partake in what you do not.

That tears at you, it rips you apart. Look inward to the
choices you made as good for you, and good for your future,
but leave it at that.

Your life sounds very much like mine, but do not let it
overcome you, do not be smug about it, and let your positive
choices be just that, do not let your inner peace divide
you.

(steps off been there done that soapbox)

go get 'em son.

Ha! Good idea, except that due to their prevalence in
society today there's always a you-to-them ratio of about
47:1 so a knife fight is going to end one way and not
happily.

been coming accross as that

damn, i always end up coming accross differently than what i
meant!

but you are absolutley right

i, nor anyone else has the right to say that someone is
better than the other just because of life choices and such

i just wish that there were more people who considered
things... like other people's feelings, and how easily a
person can be upset

there won't be any left!

christ....

I was walking & talking with the docotor I work with

love the crazy stuff until they get out of school, then all
they want is vanilla.

Fuck that shit, they can have vanilla now!

more important to me that music.....and anyone who knows me

lol, hell no.

If some girl fucked a whole fraternity, then fell in love
with me, she obviously doesn't know me very well, and yeah,
that doesn't work for me.

I can forgive and forget, but only to a certain extent,
making poor choices over a 4 year period does not seem the
kind of the thing to brush over with a *sigh.........ok,
it's cool*

I want a girl who made the same decisions I did, and feels
some of the same convictions I do.

I tried converting them, and it doesn't work, so afer two
more years of college the dating pool should be pretty
small. Maybe I'll marry a nun.

Everything was just so 'normal', I didn't really fit in
