I would agree with the notion stated early on that no one
can declare themselves an artist. Musician Vs. Artist is a
judgement the listener makes. You can make an analogy to
being a saint. People don't go around declaring themselves
a saint - others make that judgement.

As a general rule I find that anytime you hear someone say,
"I'm an artist . . ." or you hear them refer to "my art . .
." steer clear.
