the reason i see this way is because my boyfriend and his friends have been working their asses off since they were 14 in shit jobs to buy all of the gear that they have (so, that's about 8 years, and they have a ton of gear) and in my opinion, they are fully capable of coming out with a bad ass record. |

so...i should say that i just have a lot more respect for people who work for the tools to express their ideas...but there are always exceptions. |

of course.. i mean most debut albums from electronic musicians were made by kids working full time but saying idm/techno artists shouldn't live off the music they make is like telling a great rock band they should all have day jobs (of course, many DO).. it's just silly. even if someone can record, write, paint, sketch, sculpt, etc. while working at trak auto doesn't mean they should have to! :) |

i like the accessability as well, and the cool lil goodies you get. i just want them to be making the BANK they deserve! and i think a wider audience for their videos is warranted, cos they are amazing! good luck to your bf's band! |

I dont know how videos and crap work but I always thought that the huge labels say "MTV here is 1 million bucks. PLay this video as many times as possable in the next 2 months." I know warp spent a few dollars on WL but I dont think they had a lot of money to throw around when it came out. I dont know maybe Im nuts.
