Hold on...

Flea got banned for obvious reasons, Ceri told him to chill
out a few times with the spammy war topics and then he went
and made two more knowing he'd get banned... a spit in the
face of the mod, actually.

I always warn Mr. Flappypants to stop nonsense topics, I
remember you got upset once at him being ''suddenly'' banned
without an explanation once... but there was clearly two or
three topics of his that I locked before that happened, I
warned him.

I think Flux was banned... but we all know who he is anyway.

I agree Cortical should have been warned though. But fucking
around with the website code to do things the board isn't
supposed to do, to make topics people can't even get into,
that's annoying. But still, I think Tune could have given
some warning. But he coded this thing and I'm sure he
doesn't want people fucking with it. He fixed though.

So who else got banned ''unfairly''?

well, I did mention somewhere that you and jand do warn
people... but I don't remember really seeing any other mods
doing this... if you can direct me to cases where warnings
were given, then great... but I just do recall any other
then you and jand really...

I don't need to have American imcompetence rubbed into my

minutes, CNN does it for me (albeit sugarcoated).

i've seen warnings given, and lots of chances to people.
some people just can't take being told NOT to do something
and they quite naturally REBEL and get kicked.

i'm not sure i totally agree we should be privvy to reasons
why people get banned, i think in SOME cases it's not
something people WANT known......so i think it's up to the
person to REVEAL or NOT when they return.

i mean......come on folks.....is ONE week really all that
much?!?! if you can't find something ELSE to keep you busy
for a week.......you may have a different kind of problem.

again until i pay the bills for this MB i feel like i'm not
in ANY position to question the motives of the people that
do. i have to think that they are fair and no favourtism is
going on. if i thought it was really something SHADY or
whatnot i'd definately SPEAK OUT.

i enjoy coming here, but like everyone else, i know CRAP
TOPICS when i see them, and those who make them know too!

my .02 cents as always!

thanks nacho..... i think people need to step back and look
at things objectively sometimes, it's not easy, but it's
necessariy to see it from BOTH sides.

i find people being outraged that someone is banned and
taking it personally a bit much.

if i were banned, i'm sure i'd have done something to

people here, like EVERYWHERE do not like taking

i can't really take either side, but i'm definately not
neutral on the subject.
There's a lot of people on the board, especially lately, who
are complete cunts, and i'm pissed that some of them are
still around. I also think there are some good people
getting fucked by this (corticalstim is the only one i can
think of at the moment).

The mods might be a little out of control, but it's directly
connected to how WE'VE been acting lately.

This isn't some democratic congress and it's not some place
for you to be a retard.

Xltronic is just a place for people to be. No ones forcing
you here, it's a privelidge, not a right (to quote many
people many times)

SHAPE THE FUCK UP

and, I'm afraid I don't really know of any other ways to

In my philosophy class this morning we were supposed to be
reviewing for a test, but our professor had to ask about our
views related to Socrates philosophy of being loyal to your
land whether or not you think it's right, and everyone in
the class ended up debating and shouting at each other for
the duration of the class. I had to stay after to ask my
questions on the test. Fuckers.

nacmat: i wasn't warned beforehand and it was never
explained afterwards. i'm sure there've been other cases,
like cortical, where there's been no warning.

jay, who was Flux?

"spammy war topics" is a bad phrase. they were perfectly
valid, interesting, and quite necessary topics. they were
censored by ppl who aren't necessarily "pro-war" but at
least people who have no interest in seeing the war
contested to the degree that people like flea, Red, and
others wanted to debate it on here.

i don't like the idea of "this is an idm board" music is
what i care about most but sometimes i like talking about
other things too. this sounds kind of shallow but hearing
that autechre is very anti-war made me consider where i
stand, and i'm sure fans of autechre have pertinent things
to say as they have, and i feel i've neglected some stances
i should consider simply because those matters rarely come
up inside of my real-life social groups.

this has been one of the first messageboards i've actually
been able to commit to, autechre.nu was such a great site
and i love the interface of this board. it's likely that i'm
missing the point of this thread but i'd just like to state
that i enjoy the communion of idm/warp fans and i care
deeply about what they have to say about everything,
including music, war, underwater basketweaving, anything. i
guess that is more directed at some of the people who
replied and not really the moderators. this isn't
complaining or anything, moreso compliment, this is a great
board

I wish the regular messageboard posters would stop their
fucking preaching. Fuck off with telling us all to shape up;
that's the job of the mods and the webmasters. It's
sickening having every 2nd post here some sycophantic call
for responsibility and maturity.

btw, rebelling against restrictions isn't immaturity
paula...to take it to its extreme (where every statement
should be tested I believe), that's like saying any group of
peoples who rebelled against their restrictions (eastern
europeans for instance) were just immature. You may think
that's not the same, but it's the same principle expanded to
see how it stand ups. It doesn't.
