Ico IS a really good game(if a bit frustrating at times).. I heard the sales were dissapointing though. Really too bad - hopefully the sequel will attract more attention.

think of it as a 40 hour anime, with fucking amazing gameplay thrown in. that is definately not a rip off for the price.

I like the cinemas, because IMO the Xeno games have the best story around. Alot of RPG's lack that...a good solid plot twisting story.
As for ripping of Neon...maybe a little, but I think Monolith Soft/Ex-Square employees have the core of the story already finished for all the Episodes.
Heck, the Xenogears Perfect Works book explains a lot of shit. Even though Xenogears won't be a connecting game, the creators already had a lot figured out by 1998.
So...perhaps some of the similarities between the 2 are unintenional/coincidential.
