I'm a melodies man personally. After Tri-Repetae++ they steered away from the melodies and went more experimental with noise.
Don't get me wrong, Incunabula, Amber, and Tri are awesome albums without a doubt, I just don't enjoy much else by them.

No. Even after I hear Confield or Draft 7.30, I doubt I'll like them a whole lot more.

if someone unknown or from this board even would come up with the stuff they produce you'd all probably slag it off instead of drool all over it

i used to REALLY dislike AE, because i thought all there music was like CONFIELD <---which i don't like.
i have had a change of heart with respects to AE because i've heard some beautiful tracks by them and so i can't say the BIG EWWWWWW anymore.
i still wouldn't go so far as to call them genius tho.......i know some peepz have that opinion.
AE are OK =0)

thanks for expert opinion cygnus.
How about this,
Autechre don't care want you think you should be listening to, they only care about you listening to what they want you to listen to. That is why they make music that has never been created before. They are masters of sound,
each little blip that you hear on their new works has been hand crafted by Booth/Brown with the intent of making you travel to other dimensions, if you are
already able to do so. If not they hope that the sounds they have made will force you into those dimensions anyways
helping to create a more enlightened individual. The movements of sound that they project, move in such a way as to trick your brain into thinking it is
dreaming putting you in a more meditative state allowing you to stop worrying about the daily routine bullshit activities that we are bombarded with
and to move into a more relaxed state to where there is much more potential for you to become enlightened.
Yes they do think about all of this.

yes, Autechre is my favorite music at the moment, maybe it would change, maybe not, but actually I just don't get tired of all their albums, it's something with the kind of person you are, you love them or you hate them.
peace & love & ae People, when you say you get just this or that album by them, I'm sure eventually you will like all of them, just give them enough time, some music needs time, all of you know that... and also know that when finally you get into something complex and different you're very happy with it.

true, but some sounds are more positive than others, and I think Ae have a better ratio of good sounds to bad sounds,
with acoustic music it's easier to have good sounds cause most natural instruments make great sound, except for the accordian.

i mostly prefer their complex material. i get lost into the sounds, and when i take a moment and realize EVERYTHING im hearing, each little detail is all calculated, it just blows my mind.
