warpmart freebies

offline drstefanbukkake from up my own arse on 2003-10-28 04:48 [#00921557]

Warpmart have sent me the Boom Bip and DM & Gemini albums as
freebies in the past.

I find that ordering vinyl normally gets more free stuff.

in my last orders to warpmart didn't send me any freebies
:-/

they fucked up one of my orders, so I could choose any other
release instead, and I got the 'we are r why' 12" +
'tortoise - standards' cd...

and I THINK I've recieved '26 mixes for cash' and 'Bytes'
without being charged... I rejected the order, and got the
'order: rejected' email, but they sent me the package
anyway!

I love WarpMart!
I ordered "Plaid - Spokes" and "Venetian Snares -
Einstein-Rosen Bridge" a week ago and got the Plaid mix CD,
"Broadcast - Haha Sound" promo LP, "Chris Clark - Empty The
Bones Of You" promo LP side C/D, 3 stickers, some flyers,
and bubblewrap!

Got lucky this time.

The best freebie I've recieved from WarpMart is "Broadcast -
The Noise Made By People" on CD.

I got Chaos AD +ViC Acid. And SMAK 1+2 cd's. But that was
because of an error at Warp

hehe like i said on page 1... they're high as fuck in that
stockroom. if only that had paid off for me on this order.

listening to spokes for the first time right now... it's
great, i don't know what you people were complaining about.
it sounds like a typical plaid album.

over the past two years or so, freebies have been:

- afx "face" black shirt
- squarepusher EP CD ("microphone")
- some untitled EP vinyl, can't remember name, back
catalogue
- anti-pop "dogs" ep CD
- NOW "name" ep CD
- so many stickers (boc, plaid, skam, afx, etc)

they are good people, them warpers.

:)

How long do they usually take to dispatch? It's been a
couple of days since ordering, and I've not heard anything
yet... is this unusual, or are the usually like this and I'
just being impatient?

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2003-10-29 03:05 [#00923158]

they usually send it the next day...unless there's something
out of stock - but this happens really rarely

I would blame the postal strike, only I recieved no
'dispatched' email, either.
Unless they're just not sending them because of the postal
strike.

from warpmart news about 6 days ago:

"POST STRIKES IN THE UK

You can read a news story about the post strikes in UK by
following this link to the BBC website:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/3195532.stm

A lot of Warpmart customers are currently experiencing an
irritating and frustrating wait for their PLAID preorders to
turn up. As the post strikes drag on, this is also affecting
all orders from Warpmart. This problem mainly seems to be
affecting customers in the UK and is the result of the
official and unofficial post strikes in the UK.

We want to reassure all our customers that all orders were
sent out in good time to reach you at the start of this
week, and that any delay has been caused by problems with
the post and not with our service. Nevertheless, please get
in touch if your order has not reached you by Monday 3rd of
ovember. Our email is mart@warprecords.com.

Thank you for your patience."

nooooo but lots of people have been posting that they had
not gotten dispatch-e-mails.

Really? Ah, I didn't see that.
FUCKING POSTAL STRIKES.

I have had it in the past too, no dispatch message, still a
package arrived.

seems to happen a lot lately.

offline purlieu from Leeds (United Kingdom) on 2003-10-30 14:51 [#00925945]
Points: 1228 Status: Lurker

Ah, I see. Well, now I have no idea, since nothing's going
to come from London within a week. Even when the cunts sort
something out, there's already a predicted backlog of 16
million items a day.

offline qrter from the future, and it works (Netherlands, The) on 2003-10-30 14:53 [#00925947]
Points: 47414 Status: Moderator

sheesh.

maybe they're not posting anything than, because chances
that something gets lost are significantly larger.

you could try mailing warpmart, but they're probably being
mailed to crappy death.

than = then.

offline purlieu from Leeds (United Kingdom) on 2003-10-30 14:55 [#00925950]
Points: 1228 Status: Lurker

Quite probably. It's absolutely fucking ridiculous. Strikes
are fair enough when they're not such large scale things as
all the post in London. Pissing off the entire country isn't
going to win them any fucking support.

Actualy, i've no complains about the warpmart, if their is
something wrong they normally solve the problem immediately.
But i hear from a lot of people they get freebies?I've never
had freebies? what are those? Stickers i do get, but what
else can you get? I order mostly for about 50/60 GBP, do you
get freebies with that kind of amount? Today i received my
order containing the lexoleum trilogy, but it only contained
1 12" instead of 3 12"s, aaaargh! but i've send them an
email and i'm sure it's gonna be alright. HAIL WARPMART!

Still waiting for Dial P :(

But I did get this@

"Hey Chris - I sent these on the day of your email
exchange. the post strikes are
still causing chaos, so it would be worth waiting a while
before stressing too much
"

YAR!

i wish WARPMART sent freebies to peepz in the US.....i know
it's the postage that has a lot to do with why they don't,
but really thats the only incentive i have for buying DVD's
from WARPMART itself (freebies or extras) otherwise i'm NOT
gonna pay the outrageous shipping.....nope .....not me
