some of those I consider to be perfect, others are just
extremely good

depends on what your definition of the perfect album is.
it's all subjective and opinionated, and if the perfect
album is defined as then album that pleases one the most
then it's certainly not boring.

apparently I'm the only one with the 'radiator' track on my
copy of SAW2..

anyway, if any aphex twin release set the
standards/watermark of near 'perfection' within richard
james' discography it would have to be Windowlicker.

...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead - "Source Tags
& Codes"

Raekwon - "...Only Built 4 Cuban Linx"

The Clifford Gilberto Rhythm Combination - "I Was Young and
I
Needed the Money!"

Mood - "Doom"

Ghostface Killah - "Ironman"

Beck - "Odelay"

The Beatles - "The White Album" / "Abbey Road"

Led Zeppelin - "III"

...I don't know, there's too many to come up with now.. and
not all of these are 'perfect' but most are no less than
8.9/10.0

Radiohead - "Kid Amnesiac" / "OK Computer".. I'm surprised
no one has mentioned "The Bends"

Killah Priest - "Heavy Mental"

GZA/Genius - "Liquid Swords"

elephant stone is great. But it wasn't originally on the
stone roses album. I don't know what copy you've got but
elephant stone was the single that came out before made of
stone and before the album came out. Anyway it doesn't
matter. It's all great anyway.

I wasn't expecting there to be so many recent albums in this
thread. How can you already know that an album released this
year is perfect?? I mean perfect!

You need at least a good few years to get to know an album
so well you can say it's 100% flawless.

When you just got it, you listen to it all the time, and can
already decide if you like it or not.

Then during the first year it still gets played regularly,
slowly you start to discover which albums have true
lasting-powers, and which one you start to get bored with.

Then you buy many new albums ofcourse, and kind of forget
about it... don't listen to the album for a few months.

Then on one beautiful day you suddenly "rediscover" it,
listen to it for the first time in a long period. And only
then have i ever had the experience that *everything*
suddenly falls into place, and you can really understand an
album and now that it really is perfect.

Well... all just my opinion ofcourse :-)

for me:

radiohead - ok computer
nirvana - in utero
r.e.m. - automatic for the people
pearl jam - Vs.
gorki - eindelijk vakantie

Ask me next year about some electronic releases perhaps ;-)
