i got 'another green world' , 'muics for films' and 'ambient
1-music for airports' which is lush, in all i saved 18 quid
on those!!!. aprt from music for airports, which is just
lush, i dont know much about eno, so spending 3.99 on a cd
isnt much of a gamble!! music for films is good-dark moody
and beutiful. have been intrigued by eno ever since i heard
his collaborations on bowies 'low' and 'heroes'....

Where are the Eno albums for £3.99 Jonesy?

I liked the use of "An Ending (Ascent)" in the NSPCC
adverts. Very effective.

check out Eno's Shutov Assembly: one of the best ambient
albums i've heard (and bear in mind that I tend to consider
the term "ambient" as an insult)

Meho: I LOVE ambient music!!!

Ceri: HMV

Ken: I've got Music for Airports on vinyl but its a bit
crackly and I can't play it when I go to bed so I'll pick
that up. I saw Here Come the Warmjets. Does anyone rate
this?

Ken: no, it's a solo effort and all the better for that, a
collection of stuff done between i think '86 and '90. One of
the best of his albums I've heard

Jonesy: well, me too when it's good but most of it is cheesy
crap.

I thought it was an album proper from before then?! Maybe
not then.

Yeah Meho, they've flooded the market with ambient/chill out
compilations for late 20s/early 30s white collar workers who
buy their furniture from Ikea.

yeah, but i don't even consider that ambient, was talking
more about Eno/ Paul Schutze/ Bill Laswell/ Mick harris
style... I like some of it but a lot of it is just like
watching hardcore porn but with no penetration and no
cumshot and with no erotic atmosphere whatsoever

They put some really good stuff on them (always the same
tracks) but it cheapens them. Its all repackaged for easy
consumption and for a high income young market. Its so
cynical.

I'm intrigued about your erotic atmosphere fixation. What
constitutes an erotic atmosphere. Surely wah-wah peddle
guitar music is enough no?

By the way, what music do they have on contemporary porn
films?

Actually, I used that comparison just for fun... But I
dunno, erotic for me means something disturbing (but in a
good way), something that moves you on the unconscious
level, something that shakes your civilisation-build
habits.. Erotic music? Eh, well, the only thing I can think
of is noise, japanese (Merzbow, Filament etc.) and other
(john zorn for instance) because of its obvious physical
impact... As for the contemporary porn soundtracks, well, I
have to say it was better in the seventies with that mixture
of disco and wah-wah driven rock, most of today's stuff has
awful music: the last one I've watched (just this morning)
has some awful dance/ ambient music in it... atrocious.

speaking of Kenny G, anyone knows Mos Def's song "Rock 'n'
Roll"? Fantastic music and fantastic lyrics, among others
things he says: "Kenny G ain't got no soul, John Coltrane is
Rock and Roll"!!! And it all ends in a punk thrash!!! A
genius!!!

no, no, it's not such an enviable collection. I know a guy
with a largest record collection in my coutry (a famous
music journalist as the fate would have it) and he also has
the largest collection of snuff porn. Not something he brags
about around, neither something I'd wish having but that is
something that you could talk about in terms of collectors
value. Mine collection is really very amateurish...

I was flicking through a book by feminits against the
anti-porn lobby. In one essay about snuff films it alluded
to the fact that they were like some kind of urban myth.
That no one ever saw one, including the police/obscene
publications squad.

Are we talking films with real deaths in or just ones with
child abuse and shit?

had ever been officially relased-we're talikg

fact fake? (not a government cover-up type skam i can assure

Deaths, man, killings, although Rape/ abuse fits in the same
category as far as I am concerned. well, I never really saw
one either but saw a lot of ads for that shit and that film
"Hardcore", with George Scott was pretty convincing

I mean, who knows, but I really believe that there are
people willing to pay to see that and that there are people
willing to make money off it. What with all those video
compilations of various accidental death scenes and
executions: no sexual content there, but still shuff enough

faked so easily.

That sounds reasonable, but then again you could argue that
there is no need for hardcore porn when you can act things
out easily and still there it is. I dunno...

likewise, successfully faking slitting someone's throat or
chopping their fingers off and their appropriate reactions
demand certain production standards that I'm not sure these
people have. I dunno, I would love to believe snuff is just
a myth but so far, I believe it exists...

just fallacy. I've heard tens of people who've talked about

actually) where this guy fucks a horse (err, a she-horse
actually, is it a mare?) and I always wondered how come they
never stop to wonder about hygiene issues? I have a lot of
pics of women sucking on horse and donkey dicks, being
fucked by dogs, and there's one where a woman is fucked (I
should prolly say "has sex with" but to hell with PCness) by
a Boar. I mean, just imagine how dirty that must be

How can these people do this? They can't be paid that much
money surely. Thankfully I've never been corrupted by scenes
of bestiality, despite my country of origin.

I read a statistic once that 9% of people who live in rural
areas have performed a sexual act with an animal. That's a
fair few.
