Early Autechre sound?

I listen to classic Autechre just as much as the newer
stuff. 444 is possibly the most beautiful track they have
ever put out.

i started both my IDM and Autechre listening with Confield.
It was so alien to what i was used to it took a couple days
listening to update my brain, then a few more days to start
hearing the actual songs.

Kraftwelt - cross between Kraftwerk and early ae maybe

Uhhhh, I'm not so sure on that Kraftwelt suggestion. I knew
that name rung a bell, so I went and grabbed this old
compilation of mine called 'Into the Mix" and there's a
Kraftwelt song called 'Trance in time.'

It's pretty trancey/housey hence the name, so I think you
may want to stay away from kraftwelt.

i don't know, the album i have called Retroish sounds more
like late Kraftwerk than trance/house.

I don't see atol scrap relating to Kalpol introl or bike,
etc ... in anyway. Arovane's awesome though, so if you don't
know about them already check them out!

I hope new AE sounds more like old AE , i wasen't a fan of
confield at all really...

all began with lp5/tri material for me, mate and i got
obsessed, acquired the rest of their stuff.. and yeah theyve
been our biggest influence no question.

our first cd was like structured tri styed stuff.. since
then weve gotten to know our gear real well (isnt that the
key!), spent the last year doing real messy layered stuff
(lentic catachresis / cap.iv really inspired me), and now
weve gone full circle again, doing clean, sharp, friendly
stuff :) its all mood

sorry, haven't seen your reply

cavity job was autechres first release and it was, gently
speaking, shit.

if you want to contact me via soulseek, r_rober
but it's not worth imo, just a collectors item.

444 is one of the most futuristic tracks on Incunabula
(which is very futuristic itself)

I prefer the later Ae sound though, infact, the middle Ae
sound. From Tri-Repetae to Confield, though that is a huge
variation is style...all of it is so goshdarn beautiful.

It is the new stuff, post confield, that I find less
interesting.
