yeah it sucks, the thought that by going to a good university by the means of taking out loans or having people pay for you, or even paying for it yourself, is the only way to sustain a life worth living. I just feel that everybody's experience is what matters, not the money involved or the social class. These things though are important no doubt, because people are suffering while you are making money, there is no way possible to get around this differential advantage.

Dude, people are suffering whatever you do. As a result of what you do.

Yeah, it will take me a while to make a lot of money as a teacher. I prolly won't even cut it... :/ But I guess we'll have to see. It depends where my placement is- if it's in a shit school, it could very well put me off teaching for life. That's not to say that I won't still make use of my degree, though. Half of it is Eng Lit. I could try to do summit with that. Or even use the Education part of it to do a different kind of teaching.
No one has told me that a lot of money can be made from a degree. Everyone is so fucking scepetical of it. They say:-
-postgrads find it hard to find jobs, like everyone else does
-it's a waste of tax-payers' money -why not work your own way to getting paid a lot? I am not studying and I will be in the same place as you in three years, but without the debt
-you need experience as well as a degree to get a job

"Romania - £20 per term"
jeez do they eat their own toe nails?
i spend £7-10 quids on food a day....70 a week, 280 a month on food alone ....and im as thin as a rattle snake.
then there is all the other stuff we buy ...hahah then we pay tax on it all and then APR on the loans !!
i say get a grenade and jump into the arms of a rich multi national ( although they keep hidden for this reason ) find one and save a few pounds.

Yeah, my roomie said that he had to pay less than most because he had high grades and didn't pay tuition fees.
But he did have to share a small room with 3 other people...

mr.larn. i started making curries....man thoses spices are addictive. Fruit is nice as a side dish whilst eating cools it down .plum apple pear..and nan bread yumzie.
I cycle to the shops each day, burn some energy and build up an appetite.
get home and cook it up. all this and some youtube keeps me sane for a few hours....then i have a full tum ...xlt is the next addiction with some hot rice cocoa.
im suprised you dont set up your waffle stand in your lounge. hey!! curried waffles. mmmmm. :P

I was wondering if i should invent a machine that only opens once a week on a timer and it dispenses a small amount chocolate each day.
maybe that's going too far, i just don't trust myself, it's ok for these younger cats with fast metabolisms.
i like the sound of those curries, mmmm ^o^
don't remind me of waffles cus my tummy will rumble

WOW :P
i am not kiddin you>> i thought of this the other day also...i need one...so i can buy multipacks of crisps and large soychoc bars .. make small portions of them and make a dispenser cupboard that revolves on a timer.
i just can't buy multi packs cause i eat everything in one go.
some times you see 12 packs + 12packs for £3 but i have to buy single packs at 4x the cost or whatever.
larn most people get over weight because of these multi pack deals. a cupboard like this would save money and lower body weight. :P

i have the same problem. i buy biscuits or sweets and eat a few, put them away. then later eat more and then more until they are done, then i feel bad and angry.
yeah, so this machine has to be made of strong material which you can't break open easily lol you set the timer weekly and stock it with chocolates or whatever, the timer releases 1 item per day.
so you can't over indulge .
this machine could help train us to be more disciplined .
we could be onto something here

Yes indeedy , some kind of revolving compartments inside a box. as it turns each interval it poops out the sweets/crisps/cigarettes into a tray or just drops downward out of the box...so that at say 5pm, if you don't make it home in time to get the sweets, they are just pooped out for when you get home.

A PGCE is more work than a 3 year degree, but crammed into 1 year. And there is a lot of competition to get on to the course. You don't need a PGCE to teach at Sixth Form college though. And Sixth Form college is where the hot chicks are too. SO my advice is teach at Sixth Form college.

Check out Doc Browns pet food dispenser at the start of back to the future. You could get some good ideas for your machine there.

Yeah, I have heard it is very intense.
Are you sure you don't need a PGCE for Sixth form teaching? Cos someone i know got a placement at a sixth form while doing PGCE and wanted to go straight into sixth form teaching... :/
