i hope its not a bunch of fucking ambient drony tracks like
the end of quar. that would be shit.

whats so special about quar for them to have all these
editions, it was the weakest of their work imo. why didnt
they go all out with draft. i mean, what the fuck. assholes.

offline Gwely Mernans from 23rd century entertainment (Canada) on 2008-05-13 00:59 [#02205595]

autechre, I'm sorry for being so mean, but shit, i cant help
it.

'cause man.. the second edition was suppose to prove me
wrong, i WANTED it to, i wanted to feel teh epic ae.
and now more re-workings of the SAME work?!
if this isnt ultra lush, then fuck..
and if it IS ultra lush, then fuck off for making so many
weak versions to get to the good shit.

still love you though. vancouver was awesome. give me
soundboard.

listening to cichlisuite right now, its like the perfect
edition of quaristice, but was made a long time ago. if
you're thinking, 'oh shut up gwely, it's totally not', then
imagine ciclisuite with a more advanced sound palette. bam.

i like the dreamstate thing they are doin w/ the quaristice
stuff. its like dreams, i dont know. sounds a lot different
each time you hear it... they are really good at that. i
think theyve been dreaming a lot lately.

kudos.

but why does Simon look the least smug of all of
them?

He has the least to think about, each autechre are having to
FFT their thoughts and transmit them wirelessly to each
other while Simon is just thinking about his bank balance.
At least in cygnus' dream that is what is happening.

ok so rob is actually trying not to wince because simon is
grabbing his penis? i guess him and ryan seacrest must be
over.

(thats rob on the right there innit? i always get mixed up
cause one looks like he should be a rob and one looks like a
sean but its the other way around)

Rob is the one in the middle, Simon is on the right and Sean
is just out of shot. The dude on the left is The North Face
marketing director.

Bullshit Ae... regular release wanted please. The digital
choice is an 'option' not a 'release'.

My dream Ae release would be an album with a picture of them
on the front holding up cards with their names on.

Quaristice, so good they released it thrice.

More Autechre is great, why complain?
Pity it's more of Quaristice though.

i don't understand this "mini subscription" business, what
does it mean?

but anyway, it makes sense for them to be making versions of
these tracks - they are anyway based on live jams as opposed
to straight-up-from-ground studio recordings, so I guess
they want to explore the territory a bit...

and, during the last year or so, I've decided to go mostly
digital with my purchases, so this is good and progressive
and handy.

i was hoping someone would make an animation of paula's head
coming up, looking left, looking right, then going back
down. i guess i could have done it, but then i didn't

i love quaristice. it's full of analogue bite. sounds
intrusively good at high volume and it's the only album i
can actually listen to from start to finish

i thought Chiastic Slide and Tri Repetae had two or three
good songs and the rest of their studio catalogue is
throw-away to me

really nice live performance, tho
