i'm half way through the first season boxset and i'm hooked. didn't really think too much of it at first but the story has grown on me now. a truly unique show. |

They're quite weirdly written. All the characters except Dexter are extremely two dimensional but as the books are narrated completely from his viewpoint I think this is a deliberate way of showing his mental state and detachment. |

i was wondering if/when someone was going to mention the books. I like 'em, especially what happens to Doaks in the books... The show is great. One of my favorites ever. Jimmy Smitts is incredible in Season 3. I want to marry Deborah. Rita kind of sucks. So does her daughter.This & Curb are my 2 fave shows. |

yeah I'd put it in my top5 tho I played quite a lot of episodes at 1.5 speed. in s02 especially - that Lila got on my nerves even more than Rita heh |
