oy. bad news. my computer decided to die on me again
(actually, i just never bothered to find a way around
activating windows)...so yeah. i had to reformat. it's
actually working on it as i type this. another hour or so
and i'll be back in business (i hope). i was hoping to
finish things up with the track tonight...but. well. uhm. i
couldn't because of all this. so tomorrow maybe...we'll see
what happens. i may have lost some essential files to make
that happen (which would really really suck). we'll soon
find out. =/

i just need skink's track and ambsace's track when he is
finished.

and tally-ho is submitting a higher bitrate version of her
track as well.

ok, i think i have everyone's tracks so far. except i still
need SANGUINE's track.

Sanguine, please contact me about sending me your track or
your progress so far. If you already sent me your track,
maybe i just was to baked to remember. contact me anyway.

i'll post an official status report later when i figure out
who gets open slots. first on the alternates list is
Corticalstim and Pomme de Terre.

Pomme and Corticalstim: get ready, one or both of you
might
get a slot, i just want to make sure there's room
before i promise anything.

Points: 10513 Status: Lurker

to answer bob mcbob's first question: each track is a remix
or reinterpretation of the previous track. the way it is
layed out, it should be able to be continually looped
beginning to end, while maintaining a consistent flow.
that's the theory. how it ends up, we will all see. evolume
is more than qualified and able to pull this off. should be
the best vibes yet.

heh. me either. i'm lucky enough to get the illustrious
final mixer slot. this means i get to mix the final 2
tracks' material into a track of my own. then evolume makes
the whole thing rock hard, with his mighty hammer of yore!
ARR!

offline evolume from seattle (United States) on 2003-10-02 18:59 [#00887480]

yeh,

like tibbar said.

I'll write up a little info thing to go with it explaining
exactly what happened.

I'll set up the tracks so you can keep it on continuous loop
and every track will have something in common with the one
before and after it.

and i've been listening to it a bit and i have to say, it's
fucking tight so far.

offline ambsace from canaDUH. on 2003-10-02 23:38 [#00887633]

as soon as everything is all set i'll get some samples and
stuff for the next guy (whoever that's supposed to be).

yeah, be ready, there will deffinately be at least one
person after you ambsace. i'm just going to let the "other
side" of the chain of mixers catch up first.

just to let people know. with all the mixes i got so far,
we are at about 55 minutes. that means, there is room for
probably 4-6 more people.

but once again, i am promising no slots to anyone, in an
attempt to avoid getting bombarded with the flaming rants of
broken hearted would-be mixers.

in the event of flamage, i have hired an individual to
listen to your complaints:

yo.
corticalstim has gotten the track and samples from skink and
is now working on his mix.

after corticalstim is finished, Pomme de Terre will go next.
at that point, the two branches of mixers will be caught
up.
i will then take another account of the total time of the
mix. time permitting, i will assign 2 more slots to people
on my alternates list.

i will keep doing this untill we reach about 70-75 minutes
total leaving 5-10 minutes for Tibbar to wrap up the project
without fear of going over time.

The end is in sight!
hang in there kids!

we should also maybe start thinking of an official name for
the mix to go along with xltronic vibes 6.
how you all start posting a few (few) suggestions and we can
kinda informally try to agree on a name. (note: i said
try)
