i liked it, i think it was the best of the 3 i suppose. not
the best movie ever but a well done epic action\drama film.

Personnally I thought it was a severely flawed film. By far
the worst of the 3

One thing I hate about these movies. They aren't cozy.
That's what I like about fantasy stuff. They left out
Bombadil which was an invitation for cozy. The hobbuit hole
was hardly in it. They could have really stretched that out.
The pub scene in the first was too short and not that
cozy...Fantasy cozy, not fantasy fight simulations.

third time now (had to take my girlfriend)
this time, i really felt that the slow-mo bedroom scene was
a bit much.
the drama is there already, without milking it.

1 part i didn't like...

there was this portion at the end of the movie... it was
Frodo's face in front of the sun.

i swear the shot lasted about a minute, and i found it very
disturbing

i thought that the sequence when pippin sings set against
the start of faramir's last battle was very good. especially
as incorporating music/songs could have gone so very wrong.
in such an intense movie (theres almost TOO much going on at
any one time, you dont get to appreciate the gravity of it
all) this provides a moment of subtlety - sort of calm
before the/another storm.

yeah, there were several moments in the movie that just kind
of tore my heart up, that was one of them

worse of the 3 by far.
ending was rubbish (and untrue to the book apparently).
Every fade to black/white had me hoping that was the end.

was actually pretty close to the end of the book - what we
saw at least. they didnt take liberties too much with that.
whats missing is a whole sequence with saruman that will
hopefully be put back into the dvd. gives the end a slightly
less celebratory feel. increases your impression that their
world has been irreparably changed despite everything that
theyve done to save it.
makes frodos leaving at the end more understandable.
but what you do see is more or less the same as the book.

absolute best line...

"I am no man!" - Eowyn

and then she fucks that bitch king in the face, yeah!

could have done without the last half hour of continual
endings tho.
