Honestly, if that's your best argument from an entire book that is supposed to be inspired by a supreme being, I don't know what to tell you...

Hence, the kettles' adherence to the idea of "white supremacy"... it all makes sense!

Seriously glasse, don't you understand our position and why we hold to our position? I think you do. But I sure as hell can't understand why you would cling to this human-conceived 2000 year old piece of literature...

...and if the Christian god DID exist, and he IS all powerfull, why is he relying on imperfect humans to do the dirty work of spreading his word? Why cant he just split the sky once a decade and make it rain blood or some shit. Why is He relying on a very vague book and ignorant followers to recruit people?

Actually this may offend you but I believe that you can do nothing other than hold to your position apart from God's interventionous grace.

It's part of God's plan! It's sooo godly in fact, that we can't even comprehend it! Cool, huh?

That's just it! He doesn't rely on christians, although He may use them as a part of it. The bible describes a balance between election and choice. Between pre-determination and free will. They hold a relationship together that we probably cannot understand, but if you think about it, if there is a God who exists outside of time and knows all things this would have to play into it somehow.
You should read some papers on Calvinism vs Arminianism do get a better idea of what I am talking about.

What about people who convert from atheism to other religions? Or people who convert to atheism from Christianity? Is God's grace necessary there too?

The bible describes those who profess Christ but He tells them that He never knew them on the last day. We have to be regenerated in order to entire into heaven .. in other words it has to be real. Intellectual agreeing with the concepts isn't enough.

About that site that questioned Kent Hovind..... i liked this that was posted with the contradictions:
Since they think I don't have a degree, they can call me Kent, Mr. Hovind or even "hey you," if it will make them feel better.

________________________________ What Mr. Pigliucci wants, and I don't know why you are calling him Doctor and me Mister, so let's make it a level playing field. I have a Doctors degree also, although it is not from an accredited university, but I don't think that matters.

You forget my previous posts.
HE DOES NEED CHRISTIANS. WITHOUT CHRISTIANS, THE CHRISTIAN GOD CEASES TO EXIST.
Think about it. A world we're Jesus is long forgotten and the bible no longer exists and the word Christian is a thing of the past. Then what? God WOULD HAVE TO INTERVENE SOMEHOW TO LET HUMANS KNOW THAT HE EXISTS. But he wont... you know why? Because the Christian god only exists to Christians and no one else. Its just an idea, a concept to try and explain where we come from.

this would be the judgemental, exclusionist jesus, as opposed to the merciful, all-forgiving one?

a judge who is appointed by the government is exclusionist in that he favors those who follow the laws of the land and punishes those who do not, however most judges are willing to show mercy to those who have broken the law for various reasons.

Glasse, I was checking over your astronomical evidences. I mean, it's like the argument from design has retreated from biology (where complexity that superficially resembles design can be explained in naturalistic terms) to cosmology.
When cosmology is better understood, where will Theism retreat to?
