I guess so. If I see a rock I know its a rock, if I read a book about rocks I learn what kind of rock, then how that rock formed, then where that rock came from, then what that rock is to me, then what am I, learning leads to dilemma, knowledge is not what we learn, its what we discover and observe. I feel like an ass for stating so much. It's all just opinions subject to change. |

my criteria are different i want evidence that can be validated, is plentiful therefore more reliable, ties in with other evidence, and if in the form of an experiment, one that can be repeated. thats not faith! |

I'm not anti-intellectualistic.. or, well, I may even be that at times, but I don't know what you mean by the expression.. I'm not against higher education (I'm doing that myself, so...), but I AM against intellectuals, when addressing people outside of their own field of study still use the terms that are most likely only known to people that study what they study; for public information you should use a language that everyone can understand. However in this case I am being critical and I must say that some people need a bit more critical perspective on things for their relationship towards it to be healthy. |
