the stream is 96kbit, so even if you recorded it at

yes. its silly. but when you recompress mp3->mp3 you loose
even more data. if you went mp3->wav(or some other lossless
format) it would sound as good as the original.
if you used a very high bitrate, even if you recompress it
wont be noticable.
the thing is my 96kbps unrecompressed stream dump is going
to sound identical to his 320kbps version.
