The recent 12" figures of which I have about 20 or so, are
much better than the older ones. (In terms of detail - not
necessarily $$). Although I have a few of the old 12"
figures to in my attic somewhere

You actually see them in normal situations, have a hard time
adapting to others. You see what conflicts rise when a
certain cultural thing is important(honourable
death/suicide, greed/mass destruction because of
weaponsales). There's a lot more social stuff involved
instead of Starwars' "shoot the bad guys" plot.

The 12" Luke (Endor gear) with speeder bike is a must! I
recently acquired one! It's massive! I also have the 12" Han
& Luke(Hoth) with Tautaun - thats cool.

So what are your favorite star wars scenes?

I love all the scenes with the Emperor.
He is a evil old bastard and i think that actor is the only
really good actor in starwars .lol....
And those sceenes on endor with the speeder chases are soo
cool.
The Hoth fight with the AT-AT's are whicked to.
And i love the fact that Luke has Black clothes in ROTJ.

As you said the scenes with the Emperor, when Vader gets his
hand cut off by Luke. The AT-AT scene wis one of my
favourite scenes from Empire, although the Carbon Freezing
Chamber scene was good as well, with Vader's face coming out
of the steam/hissing noises - pure evil!

offline Jedi Chris on 2002-03-08 23:20 [#00118299]

I loved the pod racing scene from the Phantom Menace as
well, and the lightsaber battle between Darth Maul and
Obi-wan

the scene where vader looks between luke and the emperor,
and back at luke again, the hidden turmoil, the pivotal
moment of the entire saga in that one scene.

The scene with the Emperor palpatines arrival at the Death
star and all the troops holds perfect formation is very
cool.Very powerfull scene.
His laugh at the end of that sceene is so fucking evil.

yeah Darth Mauls fight scenes where cool but i didn't like
Maul.
He looked more like a star treck character.

offline Jedi Chris on 2002-03-08 23:29 [#00118310]
Points: 11496 Status: Lurker

I thought Maul was a good character. I watched the DVD
behind the scenes stuff on the Phantom Menace, and it shows
George Lucas talking about the design of Dath Maul. He told
his artists to think of their worst nightmare, and to make
it ten times worse! It's a striking image nevertheless.

Well not lousy but he could have benn done better.
I didn't like those tattoes.
But the scene where they are suddenly confronted with him in
the hangar is very cool. The door opens and the music change
to darkness.

And i love it when Sidious says "Whipe them out......All of
them"
Evil shit!!!
It would have been great if they had whiped out those
annoying Gungans.

I like the bit in Empire when Vader is addressing the
holographic images of the commanders of the other star
destroyers, and an asteroid destroys one of them, and you
see the guy's holograph disapear!

Episode 2 is a LOT better than Episode 1... bet on it. It's
improved in every way, I read some little review on it
somewhere. And less of that fucking annoying alien guy with
the bug eyes... sigh, that thing is annoying.

That wasn't an actuall review.
It was just some guy that had read the spy report based
script that was up on the force.net.George made them take it
down but it can be found on some other site (don't remember
the url).
It is a very detailed script that is updated all the time.

Has anyone ever just looked up into the stars on a night sky
and just wondered if there were other planets with lifeforms
on. I'm not talking of like Star Wars or even Star
Trek....but any kinda life.

We can't be the only ones.....can we?

would be mind blowing if scientists discovered intelligent
life on Mars or something like that... I wonder if they
