:)

I think that you are the only proof that non-americans like
that. I have found much opposition in my tastes!

If the XLT2006 actually happens, i owe you a beer!

But they seem to underplay the effort or time or
construction that goes into their music.

every aspect of that statement is totally irrelevant and
uninteresting to me. who cares how long it takes them to
make their music? i sure don't. "this straight line took
seven years for me to draw, that makes it the best."

And what's wrong with having other aims in your music, or
having things to express through music? Even Venetian Snares
explains things like that.

there's nothing wrong with it, nobody is saying that. but
autechre don't do that, and so it's pretty nuts to try and
come up with their supposed subversive intent that doesn't
exist.

I guess they want the music to speak for itself.

undoubtedly. they barely title their songs and you have to
watch them in the dark, i'd say that's true.

I have the same attitude towards David Lynch
interviews....he too seems somewhat careless and unable to
explain why he does anything.

he doesn't explain things because that ruins the experience
of wondering what the fuck it's about. you're supposed to
come up with your own answers. it's like somebody telling
you the twist ending of a movie - it ruins it.

r40f, thanks.

I think you're right. I have a silly obsession with why and
how things are made, instead of just focusing on the end
product.

And that is the best answer ever.

Thats the best part about music. Multiple songs various
ways. Some people could find a track uplifting and others
could find it depressing at the same time.

We are all different and have different ideas and tastes but
music can speak to anyone at anytime. Maybe they purposely
dont have that to screw with people looking for it.

for me personally it's more like finding THE electronic
music board and seeing Phobia staying away and away while
"some people are very much interested in working on its
technical improvement"

its a great cd, to me draft was somewhat of a grower

its like a more beautiful draft7.30

its appreciated, $14.99 well spent

p.s. sean and rob you could do a little better/more with the
artowrrk inside, but other than that, keep on rockin' in the
free world

i can understand the not understanding of untilted.
it is for some people, and for some simply it's not.
to me, it's more dry and grooevy draft, i don't like draft
so much.
but even if i enjoy untilted, i really hate some sounds,
parts and ideas.
there's no bad track, just bad editing

ae fans are the most stupid thing. like they have to play
the music at insane levels so they just can't hear it, to
finally say they like it because of the pain it causes on
the ears.

every person who says they hate it, don't like it or
whatever, months later it is suddenly the most inspirational
CD they have ever heard

so let's just wait awhile & see
