when i said everyone needs to shape up, i was also talking
about the mods, not just the regulars (proles?).

i honestly think that everyone's taking themselves too
seriously lately, and that every body, including the mods,
needs to chill a bit.

hmm, well I don't see that much evidence of the mods losing
it. Most of them are affable as ever. It was a shame young
cort got a temp. ban, but it's not a big deal or anything.
nothing is really, when compared to what I just read on the
front page of The Independant.

roy: mods chilling? i heavily disagree about that - on the
contrary: expect even more strict mods.

i think you should stop all these new assholes from entering
the board. people like load error and the pop1larup or
whatever. these peoples opinions don't count cuz they
couldn't be considered citizens of this board cuz they're so
new.

and i am getting sick of these dumbass war topics. i see
enough on cnn. the reason most people talk about it, is to
try and convince everyone else they're intellectual. it is
definetly a waste of space.

i know.. that preview button doesnt crop the mssg though,
and if you're doing html it kind of matters how much gets
cropped off. only way u can see is to test. do u know off
hand how many chars i can enter per mssg?

"these peoples opinions don't count cuz they couldn't be

"

Yes! From now on we shall allow only new people to join the
board if they've already been a member for the last 6
months!

oh no... wait...

It'll be interesting to see what happens to this board with
even stricter moderators... i don't know what to expect from
it yet.

In the meantime i think i'll open up an account on watmm

I wish the regular messageboard posters would stop
theirfucking preaching.

** despite your beliefs i can continue to do/say whatever i
please. it's not preaching but an opinion, if you can't
distinguish between then too bad.

Fuck off with telling us all to shape up;
that's the job of the mods and the webmasters.

** i agree it is. i'm letting the crew know i agree with
them since there has been a lot of unnecessary bashing of
'mods' lately.

It's sickening having every 2nd post here some sycophantic
call for responsibility and maturity.

** i'm not a sycophant. my mind and beliefs are my own, i'm
not towing anyones line!

btw, rebelling against restrictions isn't immaturity

** your example doesn't fit with an electronica MB which
doesn't hold the fate of a nation or peoples in it's hand.
it's a small space on the internet where you can read about
things.

remember i never tell you paul, when your ideas or
expressions are off mark, i have respect for others opinions
and their right to express them. i ask for the same. if not
.......i think you know where you can go.......

Huh, why? Explain. Or want a munchy, crunchy, crispy

Maybe users like to be banned. It emerged a certain status

ya!"

Although the beginning wasn't aimed at you, you've addressed
it and I'll readdress it--if people are gonna start going on
telling us to shape up, I can adopt their mindset and reply
in kind by telling THEM to stop posting vague post telling
others to shape up and grow up. I place myself into their
gamerule system.

To the other matter, if you make a statement like "rebelling
against restrictions is immature", then you should examine
that statement ad absurdum to see how it holds when applied
to everything - I don't believe in a rule/theory being OK
for one thing and not OK for another--a contemporary example
of this is for the USA is say Iraq breaches the Geneva
convention by parading US POWs, yet they say it is quite OK
for them to parade Iraqi POWs and to contain Al-Qaeda
suspects and have them televised...I'm not an
adherent of that kind of thinking.

i hardly think i'll start examining my statements ad nausum,
this is a MB, the fate of MY world doesn't hang on to
everything that happens here.

XLT, is a great place, and IMO in order for me to use this
