i made an error, i meant bests 12 would go to xltronic championship , so 12+12=24 i'd like to keep championship with same winner formula who we used in 2002, with 24 partecipants, and 6 groups. are you perplexed about quick qualification system? would you prefer to make a championship for qualifications too? |

now I understood... so we have the 12 already cualified and then the other 12 jsut we vote them among the list of 36, 48 or whatever the number is... so no groups here... we just choose our favourites from the list and at the end the best 12 go to the final of 24... I understand... yes its quicker, faster and better... good point woofer |

so you say choosing 5 out of the list of many artists?? good. but maybe everybody wants to choose more than 5 cos then with just five maybe you have to leave out some loved artists... we could have the list of ...lets say... 50 artists (doesnt really matter) and each one can pick up... 12 in order of preference, the 12 they want to go to the final stage... and at the end after people have voted we could see the 12 more voted. is as you said but voting for 12 instead of just 5 example: I would vote for: orbital cylob two lone swordmen yokota pan sonic if I just vote 5 I would have to leave out: 2 Venetian Snare .3 Bochum Welt .8 Yega 10. Chris Clark 12. The Orb so as the list is big enough its easy for anybody to pick till 12 artists... so I could choose all of my favourites for the final... if you think 12 is too much, we can do an average number, not 12 not 5... 8 |

so the list we could start voting from is this: woofer I know you prefered it to be less artists but then people start complaining about why someone is not here while some other is... you know... we dont care... people vote for 12 artists and after a week or so, we can see the 12 more voted out of this list... those will make it to the final. telefon tel aviv was in last years super league and out of 50 artists they were 46 or so... I dont think they are so popular in this MB after that... but we can consider it as we have done with mira calix or oval that also were in the last 10 of that league. |

good work nac, i agree with your last idea. now that we decided to make a faster qualification formula we can enter all artists we want, imo ;) just a doubt: if ppl don't have 12 fav artists (many ppl here know only afx, ae and squarepusher i.e.) but only 5 or 6, what we can do? |

easy: one cant choose more than 12 but bellow 12 they cqn choose as many as they want, so: 1st - 12 points 2nd - 10 points 3rd - 8 points 4th - 7 points 5th - 6 points 6th - 5 points 7th - 4 points 8th - 3 points 9th - 2 points 10th - 1 point 11 th - 1 point 12th - 1 point 1sr, 2nd and 3rd are the most important choice as they have 2 more points thatn the next and 10th, 11th and 12th have the same value, 1 point, as I am sure that when you choose 12 artists maybe you have clear the order of the first 4 or 5 but then you dont really care about the order. now if someone just choses 6 artists, we count them as the first 6. but people have the chance to pick a total of 12 if they want: imagine, JAroen, for an example just choses 5 artists, how do we count?, easy: 1st - 12 points 2nd - 10 points 3rd - 8 points 4th - 7 points 5th - 6 points what do you think? |

I also think we can start today, with a new topic, were people vote for the precalification, we can post that list we made, and people have were to choose, I dont think we missed many artists, but if we did, what we can do is that people vote for somebody not in the list, we can just count the points for that new artist, and if more people vote ofr that one, when then that artist has a chance of cualification, but I am sure that wont happen, cos there is a list of 50 artist and just 12 cualify, so if someone vote for an artist not in the list, I doubt that one we forgot about comes to be one of the top 12... |
