knowing ebay, the people will have their watches set very
acurately, and it will go quiet until the last min then it
will all kick off.

man this is more exciting than a football game.. (weird
thing the winner 'has to pay the price' here and is being
ripped off)

..don't know if i would consider him a 'winner'.. $1795..
damn, only a 'loser' would bid that..

..no that's not true, i would if i could..
really

$1,795.00 wow!

this brings to memory that auction of "Music for
supermarkets"... yes, there are people with lots of money to
waste

Points: 1780 Status: Regular

I don't know if waste is the right money if the guy really
wanted it. He made money by buying and selling other wax, so
it's his shrewd investment skills that deserve some credit.

I hope it's released tomorrow. But I said that earlier in
the topic. It would still be funny as hell.

I wonder if RDJ was watching this auction transpire (or
somebody at Warp with a business relationship with him), and
said: "Hmmm...looks like money in the bank if I master and
re-release AB5"?

:)> (Strokes chin mullet)

Excellent. It would be a great release, though I'd rather
have the HAB's or Bradley Strider stuff re-released.

hey phob,
some different question, but not worth making a topic for so
i'll post it here;
do you know how many GAK-GAK CD's there are (approx.) .. or
no clue?
thx

dear winner,

rip it to DAT, and press a hand full of copies yourself and
HOPEFULLY make some of the money back.
or rip them to mp3 for us nice people.

xltronically yours,

Track 1 is one of my fav. RDJ track of all time....

the rest is below his standards. kinda dull.

abb5 being so rare is the major factor why everyone wants to
get there hands on it.

*growls* I hope they do press this. I'd pay £20 for a clear
CD in a clear box as long as it was AB5 pressed without the
horrid corruption and hissing of the bootleg kicking around
now. No covers, don't care it's by Aphex Twin. I just
fucking love the music. :/

I don't just like one track from this. I love most of it. It
may not have loads of depth and such but the music just
appeals to my imagination I guess. It works as it is. Track
5 (maybe, I'm not sure) where you hear the girl singing for
only a few seconds in the background always makes my scales
stand on end.

His name was 'Some Dude' and I think he got it from Sonar,
the club he worked at but i'm not sure. He said Rephlex gave
him it.

AB5 means a lot to me. I had some of my best red haze
smoking sessions to this record. I really want it :/

That happened to my Universal Indicator Green vinyl. The
last 10 seconds on each side of the 12" vinyl are fuzzy. The
records must have bumped each other in the post. It made me
very upset and I still have the fist marks on the wall to
prove it.

I bet you have a copy of AB5. You had some pretty funky
stuff in the topic about your SAW vinyl.

If you do... GIMME. and i'll love your ass off all night
long.

I have the mp3 files but they aren't great quality. A
re-pressing would be fantastic but why would they? Isn't it
more fun to watch people pine for it? :(

Well mine are. I dunno about yours. 8 tracks @ 192kb/s with
a hiss running thru them?

I could have got my cash back but I was so down about it I
just didn't bother. I'd rather have a slightly fucked
version then nothing as I have all 5. I'll get another one
some day and give my copy away.

added so nobody would want to share the mp3 ?

The second half of that post was about Universal Indicator.
I could have got my cash back for Green but i'd rather have
an inperfedct copy then none because I have Red, Blue,
Yellow and UV to go with that Green.

I got the mp3 files for AB5 on Napster back in the day. :>

Mine have some standard analog noise and turntable rumble,
but not much annoying hiss. Not really too bad. They are 192
Kbps. Do you want one to compare?

How did you get a hold of them may I ask? Are they clean up

I wouldn't have a clue. I don't keep track of those things.
Maybe I should for rare tracks.

I'll have to listen to my mp3s of ab5 with my headphones on
(I only do that in work really) to get a proper idea of what
the quality's like, as they sound fine when I listen to
them.
