blah, blah, blah

even you couldt imagine it,...believe it or not

even if there arent any melodies it can be pretty intense
for someone, it all depends on some life experience they
passed imo.

the most intenside feeling i had while listenting to music
was, when i was fourteen and listening to the radiohead
tracks fake plastic trees, bullet proof..i wish i was, and,
planet telex. it was hard not to turn out the stereo.
now i find drukqs or some tracks by einstürzende neubauten
very touching if i'm in the right mood.
but most of the time today, i don't feel very emotional.

oh yeah, Golem II: The Bionic Vapour Boy kicks the
ass of a million gargoylic bubonial demons with splendid
sonic-crazy kickassity!!!

...

for the subject, some intense epic songs:
Opeth - Blackwater Park
Tool - Third Eye

and intense but in a totally different way:
Peter Gabriel - The Drop
Opeth - Weakness

Godspeed You! Black Emperor can be pretty intense in a third
way also.

and in a fourth way:
Coil - Ostia (the death of Pasolini)

oh and
Tool - Parabol, Parabola

...
hmm, there's probably more.
but i'm already starting to lose credibility.

(on second thought, Ostia can go with The Drop and Weakness,
and Parabol+Parabol with Blackwater Park and Third Eye.)

The track "Hex" (not the album "Hex") by Bark Psychosis.
When the "intensity" suddenly stops, and you're left
suspended in... limbo... it's a strange kind of, oooh.

Hearts on Fire from Rocky 4, it was on A&E last night (along
with the first 3 Rockys! Totally tubular, dude!)

Fuck, this song pumped me up. I was overflowing with
adrenaline by the time the Ivan Drago fight rolled around.

People understand the word Intense in many ways. But I think
these albums are quite intense, in a way of another.

Godspeed You Black Emperor - Whole Discography
Madvillain - Madvillain
Air - Vigin Suicides
Chris Clark - Ceramics Is the Bomb

and single songs..

Autechre - vietrmx21
Squarepusher - Steinbolt
Plaid - Dead Sea

And the end of, Aphex Twin - Mt Saint Michel Mix + St
Michael's Mount. Everytime I listen to it with headphones, I
get water from my eyes in the end. Propably because of all
those sound gaps.

StallOWNED!

Something else that's intense- Sparks- Kimono My House. Just
relentless with the sparkle! Can't help but grin. And
Michael Altman's M.A.S.H theme. It's blunt, powerful words
and melody.

Off the top of my head anyways;

The first three minutes or so of Explosions in the Sky's,
Greet Death (1st track off of Those who tell the Truth.....)
features the most intense guitar line I've ever heard.

Jeremy Enigk-Shade and the Black Hat (particularly live)
Mineral - Five, Eight and Ten
The video for Johnny Cash's - Hurt
