Who's copped a version of the new EP Confederation Trough?
It's no where actually confirmed that its Aphex but thats

please, read all the other threads. if you don't know how to
read xlt, you shouldn't be posting here anyways. imho

o, and "the truth is out there" (or any of that ufo-crap)

at this moment your best guess should be "perala"

little known fact.....hitler was fired by trump back in the
day which surprisingly lead to hitlers distaste of the
jews...

general opinion seems to be it's aphex..which is bullshit

IMO it has to be him, all the reviews i read just seem like
some sort of shit someone would pull to release under an
alias. if it is him, go job for fooling people for a while,
if it isnt then this dude gets all sorts of free publicity
and richard sits back with his evil ass grin and profits
none the less.

i don't see why he would put out an average sounding record
like this..

its hit and miss, its not like everything someone releases
is ground breaking shit.

it doesn't fit in with the rest of music he put out. it's
either complete miss like that noise stuff or brilliant
stuff like most other stuff, but never an average sounding
dullnes.

well this is straight from warps site:

"We don't know for sure either, but it looks and sounds like
the work of our favorite Analord. There were rumours that
it's two French guys, and then the press information says
it's some bloke called Gary with a very Cornish surname, who
XL and Ninja Tune wanted to sign, but somehow much smaller
label Rephlex signed him, hmm....

But the problem with all this is, it couldn't sound anymore
like Richard D. James if he shouted 'My name is Richard D.
James and I wrote this' over the top.

Anyway, it's very good, 3 strong tracks in three different
styles, in keeping with the analord analogue instrumentation
but with a bit more abstraction. "

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2007-05-06 22:39 [#02080189]
Points: 50073 Status: Moderator

there are sounds he used on analords but the composition
part ain't his.

offline goDel from ɐpʎǝx (Seychelles) on 2007-05-06 22:39 [#02080190]
Points: 10225 Status: Lurker

my best guess at this moment, and i will be making a fool of
myself, is that it's a collaboration between perala and
james. that devon-track just sounds too much aphex to not
have it's finger on it.

offline whoami from Dallas/Ft. Worth (United States) on 2007-05-06 22:40 [#02080191]
Points: 269 Status: Regular

but w/e its already disscussed here as well http://xltronic.com/mb/96589.
BUT as someone states in that thread it wouldn't be too off
of something that could have been on the analords. who knows
though if it is him i doubt he'll come out and say it.

"his fingers", although an "it" should be quite possible as
well.

i'd say perala had something to do with it as well..there's
no way those simple beats are jameses.

the track should be up on brian's myspace page (haven't
checked). it's another of those tracks that got played in
richies dj-sets, and a good one too! you probably already
heard it because it has been floating around on the internet
for a while now.
that track is enough to spend millions on the tuss's coming
album.

"Devon" played live @ Snowbombing 2005

(credits to elusive for posting this originally)

o, and this track is def. not "average" darling.

If you take "The Tuss" and subtract the "T" and the "u" and
then subtract an "s" and then you add an "R" but then you
subtract another "s" and then you add a "J" then you add an
"O" but you cut the left half off and add a vertical line to
rearrange all the letters behind a mirror and end up with
"The RDJ." This is the nickname of Richard D. James who
might also be a member of The Aphex Twins Fancy Goodtime
Band. Sh-sh-shocking!!!
