I thought that movie was very cool but I do not like the guy
that played leonidus, he wasn't very believable

somehow these movies always turn out to be a historical
suicide.

It does not even start to compare to LOTR.

It was a good movie and all but I doubt you'll be see it
carry a serious fanbase for 50+ years.

i saw the 300 for free, and i feel like the studio that made
it owes me 10 bucks for watching it.

LOTR series is/are better if you read them b/c the movies
were total rubbish

Anything shot via green/blue chroma key studio=shit.

its not a bad film, pretty enjoyable, epics and
aesthetics... the problem, as usual, the american comercial
shit ---> everything that wasnt on the comic book (as
someone told me) : the monsters, the romantic stuff, the bad
jokes

I liked it. I won't get it on DVD, but I'm glad I saw it.

Personally, I found it more entertaing than LOTR (yes, it's
less "high art" and won't win as many awards, but I don't
see a film being just entertaining as a bad thing).

it's a good movie for 13 year old narcissistic boys with a
bad temper.

why compare it to LoTR? that's gay.
the film itself is good. entertaining and nothing more.
lovely eye candy.

im considering seeing it just to check out the pretty
production on the big screen. other than that it seems
pretty silly (which isnt necessarily a bad thing), i'm just
not all too sure how much i'll like i it judging from what
i've heard.
tho. cant judge til i see it.

There was no shortage of action.

I was a bit cynical about it though. It's another one of
those movies that depicts whities as the good guys and
darker folks as the badguys, like in LotR. Plus, I didn't
approve of the Spartan leader killing the Persian messenger.
And how the hell did the Spartans kill off that lot of
Persians in the initial battle and not lose a single man in
the fray?

Anyway, I hope those who haven't seen the film yet haven't
viewed this thread.
