watered down versions of radioheads 'the bends'

coldplay make dreary music. Eno makes egghead mood (roxy)
music (sometimes for airports). Both very overated...just
wondered what views on this was...people will inevitably
expect it to be ALL TIME CLASSIC material. It'll probably
bring about peace and stability in the middle east...

coldplay are real nice. about 56 times nicer than radiohead
everyone seem to think so highly of around here. good to
hear eno will be involved!

I expect it to be boring, their Eno emulation on the last
album made them sound all overblown and up their own arses

He'll just add a couple of fucking ambient keyboards in the
background like he does with all the other second rate bands
he works with, it's hardly like when he worked with Bowie
and all those weird techniques he developed, these days it's
a bit of easy money, a drone here, Coldplay get nearer their
goal of being U2 II and the critics prestige of having the
balding perv having minimal input, everyone's quids in.

coldplay are shit.

radiohead should never have come up in this post.

radiohead evolve. coldplay just stay shit, if not get
shitter. eno couldnt make coldplay good, even if they were
good to start with.

He did a nice job on "X&Y" -- not that he had a great to do
with it.
