got a new track online - only on my myspace for now i'm afraid
the top one - "duff mckagens exploded spleen"
for the tech junkies amongst you, it's recorded "live" using a machinedrum fed though the effects processors on a monomachine
thanks for lookin!

mmm it sounds good, even pleasant at my ears...but mmm it sounds nonsense like it is going nowhere... just accomulative sounds without interest, maybe it needs repeated listenings, maybe its not my kind of music...
are you selling wallpapers for 6 pounds???

yeah, it's ok - a bit boring tbh. those bits where it changes and goes a bit mental should stay changed. er, what i mean is don't keep reverting back the the original beat bit, let the change run, then change again.
nice tight production though.
needs more synths.

well thanks for listening - most people so far have said it takes a few listens... it did for me too!
copies of my album are available with three different vintage wallpaper covers. they smell amazing, especially number 1

cheers chin bwoy - i used to do that a lot (change something for quite a few bars) - i kinda want to get away from that and just have a change for one bar, then back to the original + or something slightly different

the beat/drumz are cool, reminds me a little of some panasonic work. irratic, scratchy, drone-ish. lotsa samples tend to get boring/tedious at times, mainly throughout the middle of the piece. other than that, standard. personally, i might add some type of underlying melody to get a nice groove goin'. something kinda synth-y like a mild harmony. but then we'd have two completely different styles. it could go in either direction either more sparse or more rich/full.

cool, i'll take that into account. i know what you mean about having a melody there... there's a couple of spare tracks so i'll see if i can fit anything in for the live version

I really like it, it makes me think of LFO played too slow. About half way it really picks up, it's like five different rave tracks in disguise, that's what I was thinking.
Fun Fact: My favourite Arsey Rob track is "Theres A Tiger On The Boat " which I played on some hick radio sation's electronica programme "The Cut" last year.

I liked it! The pummeling drums do get a bit tedious at times.. some sort of a nice synth bed humming underneath might have helped maintain my attention, but then again some of your twisted, abrasive samples later in the track have a sort of diguised tonal quality of their own, which may only be possible when set against a minimal, dry drum pattern..
Anyway, you've obviously succeeded in piquing my interest and getting me to try and figure out what you're up to. Thanks for sharing!

thanks for listening!
btw all the noises created are generated by the machines. anything that sounds like samples is probably digital feedback / effects between the two machines
i should do a minimal remix of the track, using just the core sounds ;)

Ah! okay, all the more impressive! good reason to leave it as is.. let the machines create their own little noisy melodies.

I agree with EVOL and uviol about the synth melody thing. I prefer music with more layers. Anyway it's a good tune!
