No, but sometimes yes. But no...sometimes no. But sometimes
yes.

And I am afraid to wank during Christmas.

:D

This is an open invite to all at xlt to join the hanal/brisk
latter day gays church. It's a great place with a fun,
relaxed attitude. We won't ask you to pray, read long boring
scripture and definately no need for redemption. All we ask
is an obligatory donation each month. Join today to find the
way. And get gay.

Don't know exactly. Semen is something pure and happy, but
the act of masturbation is kind of dirty. I think so...

I like to stick finger in my ass, y'know...

What is faith? Is it to believe that which is evident? No.
It is perfectly evident to my mind that there exists a
necessary, eternal, supreme, and intelligent being. This is
no matter of faith, but of reason.

If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent Him.

believe in God.

Anyone who is too sure one way or the other is the sucker,
in my opinion. There's convincing and intuitive evidence
for both sides, so it seems as if either belief is based on
faith of some sort. I generally believe that there is a
God, but I cannot prove it any more than I could prove
his/hers/its definitive absence.

i don't believe in god in the sense so many religons make it
out to be as if he is an actual person who rolled up his
sleeves, spit in the palms of his hands, rubbed them
together and sorta did like the elvis move while suddenly
the earth appeared. but i believe that there is much we are
not designed to or capable of understanding at least, until
we have the oppurtunity to evolve for another hundred
billion years. we are not the brightest when it comes to
unlocking the unfathomable power held deep within our own
consciousness'.

i believe we have the potential to discover the mind within
the space of a lifetime.

why do we put ourselves down as being incapable of
understanding it? preconceptions like these only get in the
way.

because that would also be like saying we have the potential
to achieve the ability to travel to every coroner of the
entire universe within that same small window you call a
time span. wouldn't you agree?

offline EVOL from a long time ago on 2007-01-14 20:38 [#02032473]

besides that, it is impossible for one person to know every
aspect of any given subject alone. that is why universities
all have major research deparments devoted to a single area
of study. which also rely on the the collective knowledge
from fellow proffesors involved in the learning community
around the world, to better understand each new revalation
brought to light under a specific branch of their particular
field.

knowledge of the mind is something which we can directly
experience.

to physically experience a distant location in space would
be a lot harder!

we would have to talk in supernatural terms if we were to
suggest a mental experience of travelling the universe.

some people who have experienced deep meditation will claim
they have had those supernatural experiences, but its never
something you can take a persons word for, you can only try
it for yourself.

i agree. the knowledge for technology to ahcieve such great
astronomical feats is real and we can manifest it in
physical forms already, but the neccessary endowment to
percieve any new mental pathways, which would enable us to
gain insights into the vast ocean that is our mind, are even
more difficult to comprehend even with the most capabale
instructor guiding us through every step of the way. not to
say that it can not be nor is ever accomplished in any
actuallity, but the contrary. we can, if as you say, only
try for ourselves.

i want to desperately, but i don't. I believe that churches
have a lot more to offer regardless of worship. They offer a
sense of community and belonging, which is always a good
thing. But i think that believers choose to ignore obvious
facts that bring the bible into disrepute. I think faith is
something to hold onto though. I'm probably not making
sense. I'll shut up.

that is a startling revalation indeed my good sir, but i can
neither agree nor disagree, because in a way i see your
point, which i have construed to mean that death is
inevitable so in effect, the fact that we are aware of
anything right now has already been negated by the constant
progression of space/time, correct?

What's the new Sony Shampoo like? I bet it's not as good as
the brand new iShampoo (retail price £49.99). The iShampoo
bottle has projecting LEDs which project which corporate
music track your (wet) ears are currently listening to.
Amazing stuff.
