I didn't expect this soundtrack to be this good! This is the jazzy harmonic side of Plaid which I'd like to see more. It's not that I don't like Spokes and Greedy Baby... it's quite the reverse actually but I need to be in the mood because their music is getting more complex. With Tekkon Kinkreet they once again showed their power of crystal clear chords vs ambient soundscapes. It's a strange release tbh... it has been officially released but I can't seem to find it in a decent online store outside of Japan. There isn't much info on the net either. I hope it'll be available through Warpmart very soon. Maybe it's because the release is in the middle of the holidays..? This release is the official soundtrack of the anime movie . |

I wouldn't compare this to that Daft Punk video. This is an actual anime like Akira, ofr instance. Only this one has a Plaid soundtrack. It appears the official releasedate of the movie was the 23rd. If there's going to be an international release it'll probably take a while until it has been dubbed in English. |

Sounded like normal Plaid from the trailer, I'll try to hear the full soundtrack. I was impressed with Greedy Baby so I want more new Plaid |

although it has it's moments, it's certainly not a next plaid album. it sounds like the guys did a lot of effort to make an OST, leaving out lots of the usual plaidness. the result is pretty minimal, especially for their standards. only a couple of tracks work well on their own, i think. still anxious to see the result, though! |

as far as i know mostly ed laid his hands on this ost as andy has his little baby:) anyway, loooking forward to getting this dvd. plaid and anime is a bit strange combination for me (and yes, daft punk was awful) but i'm loking forward to some beautifiul synergy |
