so - actually this came up in my other topic - the one
about the ae rmx.

i once got banned for posting a link to a file that wasn't
even uploaded by me nor ripped by me with music from wipeout
with one unreleased afx track.

now the thing that was weird was - this music wasn't even
ever released so you cannot buy it so actually it's not
pirating posting this?

okay - fuck that one that was like ages ago.

but what pissed me off was one topic by a certaing member
with a normal released track (not even a remix), uncut plain
original and nobody even said a word.

i would like to know what the exact rules are for this.

just post it. they could have given a warning by now, but
they haven't. if they're going to ban you, it's war. if they
do, they AT LEAST should have had the decency of answering
you.

so who banned you? was it me? was it a b7 or b8?

i think it was one of the lesser known mods - of course a
b7. and immediately deletage of the topic itself so i didn't
even had a chance to say something against it. it wasn't
ceri jc for sure because i mailed him about it if he can
check who it was to at least talk to him but there wasn't
any.

okay that's last years snow - it's no matter now the thing
is just - what is the rule about it. is one file ok ? are
remixes ok ? released stuff ??

imho that would be quite important to clear up.

"one of the lesser mods" I like the sound of that. It makes
me feel like reading Lord Of The Rings all over again.

it wasn't meant more like a "mignon-mod"

Fuck, someone should tell Distinctive/Sony that
they never actually released this then.
People are going to be fired once they realise that the
music was pressed to CD, packaging done and sales made
through major outlets when it wasn't even released.

I got the download before the topic was deleted so it was
appreciated but even then it had been announced that the
soundtrack was going to be released.

You could post a link to the file with the remark that it's
illegal to actually download it. And if people do make the
download, they have to face the possible consequences. Like
angry posts of people crying they shouldn't download
anything they see, or something.

Once I was banned & ignored by a guy on soulseek for sharing
an unreleased track with yousendit. Then he unbanned &
unignored me the day after, saying that he had just been in
a shitty mood.

IMHO, we should share everything and purchase when we wanna
purchase.

But MBs need more strict rules.

I think the thing that made it serious was that it was a
direct link, not a link to something like yousendit.

you can't post links to illegal material. we're doing our
best to prevent this, but sometimes it slips thru our
fingers... please let us know if this happens.
