do you enjoy lying?

Do you get any sort of special feeling from lying to
people? And is it a good one?

Sure, you can't take all situations over one comb; in
certain cases, but let's take, then, some more specific
situations. Do you enjoy lying to (1) someone you love (in a
broad sense that includes friends and family and all that
jazz), (2) someone you hate or (3) someone you don't know?
Maybe it makes you feel clever or empowered because you're
able to hide yourself or the truth that you have from
someone else with success?

I'm the Robin Hood of lies. I lie for a greater purpose! A
good cause. And yes, I enjoy it. But only if it's works...

I rarely lie though. I'd rather call it 'convincing others'.
And I can be very convincing. So in other words, I never
lie. (but this wouldn't convince you at all...)
;p

weird i wanted to create a topic about lies and lying
tomorrow.

anyway it's interesting that there is even a science about
it - it's called "mentiology" (don't google for that it will
show you nothing but my negotiations-teacher told me about
it)

can you beliebe people studying about lying and how to lie?
christ

it's all gone wrong - somehow lying has become a normal
thing in everyday live that an average human lies about a
couple of times a day. the record-liers are businessman with
over 15 lies a day.

no to mention that every human lies about 15 times a month
a, let's call it a "very bad lie" - which can actually
affect other people in a negative way.

my god.

the worst thing is that this is such a growing circle. i
mean people see politics lying on tv, everyone atound lying
the government lying so they think - "i'll lie too, everyone
lies around me so why shouldn't i"

through such a way of thinking - people have got used to
lying so much that they even stop noticing they are and
pretending that they aren't.

I'm telling my boss I can't work saturdays anymore because
I'm joining my friends paintball league.

I've never paintballed in my life.

It was fun coming up with the specifics.. what the league is
called, what gun I would be using, etc.

I'm using a Bob Long "Infamous 06" model.

The league is the P.A.C.L. (Palo Alto Championship League)

The Team are the "Savage Henrys."

I don't enjoy lying, and rarely do it... it doesn't make me
feel good at all...

I do, however, enjoy pretending and play-acting.

one time this guy and an bunch of his little brats came over
to me at the beach. I was digging a big hole next to a nook
in a rock, it was pretty awesome. Anyway, the guy seemed to
want to interact with me and he started talking to me. I
told him I didn't speak english in a perfect american
accent. He looked dubiously at me and walked back to his
plot of sand. And that's the story of how I enjoyed lying
to someone.

Now please, make more threads like this so I can ignore all
of these goddamn projects

i was at this party with old people yesterday (50+). during
the party my gilfriend and i popped out to watch moby dick
with patrick stewart on hallmark. there was some golf on the
tv and some of the old fellows frequently came to check the
score. as we were leaving i saw that ernie else had won the
day. i was very excited at the prospect of passing on this
good news to the old men because I knew this would make them
happy. upon telling a group this one man asked me if John
such and such had come in second. my gaze remained fixed on
the man and rather than telling him I had no idea, I
answered with a "Yes". Hoepfully John such and such did come
in second, making my lie a valid one.

...and Nir, and Mike Paradinas.

I don't like lying. Not even on messageboards.

It's sometimes neccessary for a good (harmless) windup, but
even then, I prefer equivocation (and it's a lot more
skillful/satisfying to do it that way).

i'm usually so sleep deprived that i can't be bothered to
lie...

my dad grilled into me this stupid saying about lying.

"if you wait long enough the truth will eventually come
out."

which of course made me so scared to lie to think that years
later it might come back and bite me for something i long
forgot about.

I used to lie to embellish my stories when I was a little
kid
now I try not to do it unless I am making up some lame
excuse not to go to work - even then I know that they know
that I am lying but I can't tell them that I just got a
fresh batch of weed and the patch for football manager 7
just came out thats why I can't make it
