I don't really think he's a racist... I think he just let his anger get the best of him. I mean, I don't consider myself a racist either, but if a black dude was talking a bunch of shit to me, I'm sure I would get racially insulting too... it's just the obvious place to go. Apparently the black folks that he directed the comments at, did not even heckle him. The only disturbance they caused was when their group of 20 people walked in mid show and sat down, it distracted Kramer and he reacted by pointing out "the stupid blacks and mexicans sitting down," at that point someone in the group responded that he wasnt funny...then the fireworks began. The guy sounds like obvious racist, you cant blame it on some kind of in-the-moment passion. |

What I mean by "its the obvious place to go" is that it's the fastest way to cut the deepest if your trying to insult a black man. While I admit I may have some racial prejudices (every time I see an asian guy driving I slow down a little) I do NOT think I'm better then any person or that my culture is inherently better then anyone elses. I often go straight to racial slurs on SoulSeek...even though a few times I assume the person on the other end and I are the same race. It usually doesn't work as a good source of invective since they usually have a weak grasp of English. For some reason racial slurs put to whites seem to have no emotional impact. |
