Just wondering who uses Winamp? I'm currently managing my
music with iTunes and forgot all about Winamp!

itunes is good for organised music and such, but when you
have heaps of random stuff, with folders and music files
that cant really go under artist album and such, sometimes
its easier not to have it automatically organised, the way
itunes does.

i do use winamp. 5.24, classic skeen.

itunes is kind of for those who has that ipod gadget which
can't be just browsed from a file manager?

i tried itunez player at friend's who has an ipod, had some
problems like instead of being added into the playleest,
selected file started tae play, deleting all the playleest.
It's just matter of habit, i think.

Sometimes i play audio files with a video player like VLC or
BSplayer - when it's already open and winamp is closed and
i'm lazy to launtch eet. Sometimes i play audio filez phroam
Audition or cool edit, eeph i want to timestretch eet :)

fuck interaudioplayer war

out carl

dunno if iTunes has global hotkeys, but im used to the ones
in Winamp. also, it runs on much lower cpu than iTunes. and
i prefer the search thingie in Winamp over itunes'.

winamp > itunes

Its not usefull if you are playing music from your computer,
true, but with an ipod having your music properly organized
and labeled by genre and album and such makes things much
easier. Another thing is unique eq settings for each song,
which is kind of excessive, but appreciated.

winamp was my first mp3 player. after a while i started
using iTunes. however, iTunes is bloated and annoys the shit
out of me sometimes. i've now reverted back to winamp. it
has a lot of dope plug-ins and can support almost any media
via plug-ins. it's small and works well and doesn't try to
constantly sell me shit.

i've even gone as far as trying to install winamp on the Mac
i use at work. iTunes kept automatically downloading video
podcasts and would not stop, even after disabling podcasts.

is it just an ipod thing? i am a total ipod noob and have a
genuine fear of them. with my iriver mp3 player, its all
just drag and drop into organised folders. just like on da
puter.

I've only got about 8 MP3s and some shitty speakers so it's
pretty academic what I play them on, could be Windows sound
recorder, for all I know.

Yes, been using 2.75 for years and years.
Fast, light, does everything I want and more.
Hardly uses any RAM.
Flac plugin works perfectly.
Can bounce down a mp3 to wav in a split second.
There are so many plugins, you can get it do pretty much
anything.

It's a really well programmed bit of software.

Winamp 5.x (lite version) with Classic Skins. It's a super
light weight and bug fixed Winamp 2.9x an' I love it. iTunes
can jus' fuck right off with its apple bloated shit houses.

I've pretty much ONLY used Winamp during my time on the
internets. Winamp 5 point whatever, Classic skins, many
plug-ins. Itunes covertly installed itself on my computer
once somehow and I messed around with it. Icky.
