i don't listen to Sigur Ròs, but the records i tend to dig up include Eels, Godspeed You Black Emperor (and other "post-rock" bands), Coil, Nurse With Wound... melancholic stuff... also The Smashing Pumpkins, for some reason. |

uzim:yeah same here, i sold back like 5-6 smashing pumpkins, but for some reason i can listen to the double disk every now and then, and their first cd "gish" is actaully good, before they got all MTV rockstars. |

Somebody else who knows about swod - gehen! Lovely glitchy/warm/static-ey piano-ey electro-acoustic ambience there. The piano parts in themselves are lovely, but it's the way that they relate to the static and electronic loops that sets it apart. |
