Sweetness!

To distract from the current squarepusher debacle.

I hate psp. That being said I think putting abelton on it
was a complete waste of time.

I have a hard time clicking shit with a mouse let alone
PSP's little nub-tracker thing. I guess if you could use
abelton with the directional pad and shape buttons.

But even then you can have what, 6 wavs going at once?

ds sounds 10 million times btter.
but that already has nitrotracker. and if you want to
control ableton with a psp from across the room, then your a
bit of a strange mother fucker.

There was a crazy amount of latency with that nitrotracker
sampling video. 2 seconds is not good at all.

I've never really seen a DS up close and personal, butI
regret getting a PSP. The touch screen looks like a winner.
Some of the homebrew for PSP is fantastic, but sony try so
hard to block it and some of it is difficult to use...

For example I have an amstrad CPC emulator so I can play all
the games I used to as a kid, but to type characters without
a touchscreen for a keypad it is difficult. The solution is
novel, but still difficult.

PSP has a nice program called PSPRhythm, which is a very
nice sequencer, but its too fiddly to use the thing. Its bad
enough using a mouse on a PC, let alone a piddly little
joystick on the PSP.

I got the PSP for christmas because I didn't know what else
to ask for, but its just a waste of time and money in the
end. Battery life is crap, wipeout pure is fantastic, other
than that, should have got a palm pilot, more useful.

sell it and get a DS with the proper cartridges for
homebrew. DS homebrew kinda blows at the moment but its
going to skyrocket soon.

Tridenti - Yes, I still need to transfer my old settings to
my new DS lite and stuff. But I'm down as long as you guys
aren't Yoshi/EggKart snaking whores :)

Pffff! Don't sell your PSP for a DS. I've got both, and I
honestly find the PSP to be a better machine. Sure, the DS
is good if you like kiddie gimmiky games... but the PSP has
so much more class. DS homebrew is never going to take off
in the same way because the machine simply isn't powerful
enough

Hahah ok.

"PSP is a better machine."

OK why>

"It has more class."

Yeah if paying $$ out the ass = class then your argument is
correct.

As for DS not being powerful enough? Thats pretty LOL'able
considering that if PSP wanted to display blazingly fast and
pretty graphics - it can't because of its horrible refresh
rate.

GP2x is the Real Deal O'Neil!

BAM!

actually, the PSP is insanely more powerful than the DS
technology wise. the DS is really a generation behind; it's
comparable to a nintendo 64 (i.e. playstation 1 generation),
where a PSP is comparable to a playstation 2.

that said, DS > PSP in my opinion. seems to have way better
games and a far more interesting homebrew community.

def keeping my eyes on the gp2x though, looks awesome if
homebrew really kicks off.
