the new Steve Coogan series on BBC2..

I like it a lot!

it's much gentler and smaller than, say, Alan Partridge,
it's all about the dialogue and especially Coogan's acting.
very well written and acted, I think.

I finished episode four half an hour ago. it's great!

Morwenna Banks was especially good in that one.

the bit I loved best was in the first episode, when Magz and
Tommy are telling Raymond how they met, and they have that
"you rock my world"-moment.

that was fantastic.

I loved the freaking out right before he gave the stuffed
puma thing to his daughter's boyfriend.

that really was a bit scary. nice.

I've been enjoying this too. It's just the acting that does
it. If he didn't have such strange nervous tics type
movements then it wouldn't be half as good.

i missed the first episode but seen the rest since.

i think it's hilarious, and will probably get funnier the
more i see it, as is the case with alan partridge.

the student/druggy character played by coogan in the last
episode [ep4?] was very disturbing.

that was coogan playing the druggie?! jesus.

i fucking love saxondale's mannerisms, especially about the
mouth.. how he purses his eyes shut, leans backwards
slightly and kinda clicks his tongue when he's especially
proud of something/some story..

brilliant show so far. love it.

talking to Jerome Wilson:

"while I'm about it, when you're talking about cars, don't
go ah-ah-ah-it-hurts-me-eyes, just talk about the car.."

"hang on-"

"look! the last show you did, you pushed three Suzuki Vitara
jeeps out of the back of a transporter plane, aiming them at
a giant dartboard that you'd carved into a cornfield in the
Oxfordshire countryside.."

"we're just having a laugh..!"

"yeah and I had a laugh when I saw it on the telly! but you
know what? afterwards... I felt a little bit empty inside."
