I'd rather not live that long myself. I don't understand
this obsession with extending life. The world is
overpopulated as it is without extending everyones life by
11.

Interesting link though.

I find it hard enough to drag myself through until Friday
every week. I can't see me coming up with a millennia's
worth of reasons to keep going.

grandchildren sponging off of you.

hmm, it would be nice to stay youthful forever, but to not
be able to die through old age seems, well kinda odd.

probably.

I think, as a very timid and bored person, it would take me
at least 600 years to do the things on my to-do list anyway.
And those things are: ride a roller coaster and go to the
Aegean Sea.

We will still die, of course - from crossing the road
carelessly, being bitten by snakes, catching a new flu
variant etcetera - but not in the drawn-out way in which
most of us die at present.

And remember, none of that time would be lived in frailty
and debility and dependence - you would be youthful, both
physically and mentally, right up to the day you mis-time
the speed of that oncoming lorry.

Well I really don't understand not wanting to not die, not
wanting to live the longest life possible. It boggles my
mind.

When I used to frequent a goth/ biker pub about, ooooh, 100
years ago, several times I could've died as a direct result
of snakebites.
