Mmmm, I love this song! Has such a nice chorus.

The video is kinda funny in some places. Timbaland looks
down right goofy in some shots! :P

with her husband? she's going the alanises way there..

I read the dumbest interview with Furtado on this album.

it basically went "yeah, my first album was spiritual and
intellectual, but now I'm all about dumb songs, you know, I
was all about liking to think but now I just want it to have
a beat, timbo and I used to sleep 3 hours a night and we got
really receptive of tribal rhythms, you know?"

sheesh.

This song is good because Timbaland produced it.
He's a fucking legend.

The last 30 seconds are fucking mint. With the fiddle and
the boom-shack-shack drums Timbaland is the master of.
No one else does that whole fucking cold but still totally
fun sound like him.

I'd actually probably agree that he's more skilled in terms
of production than the good old Twin. I wish he'd do some
instrumental electronica; his talents are pretty enjoyable
in the field of pop I guess, but I think it'd be great to
have some really polished, fun electronic music by top-notch
producers like him. "BT" and "Hybrid" and "Way Out West" are
quite close to that I suppose....

"I'd actually probably agree that he's (Timbaland) more
skilled in terms of production than the good old Twin"

i never thought id hear such blasphemy on xltronic!!

i like the way shes turned into a hoe though to sell more
records, the wholesome image gone out the window when times
are hard

This song is all about the hook and the way the words sound.
Im not that into the production. I think Rich could do
anything he set his mind to. He has a love/hate relationship
w/ attention so I think he does stuff that isn't poppy on
purpose.

offline CS2x from London (United Kingdom) on 2006-06-14 18:18 [#01920202]

Don't worry; I find Aphex Twin's material infinately more
enjoyable, and far more imaginative. And I can see it was a
silly thing to say, as "good production" is a subjective
issue. However, I still think producers like Timbaland
achieve a sexy, polished, weighty, downright fuckable sound
that sometimes does not exist (and perhaps should not exist)
in "idm" music.

Most idm has no BASS. These hiphop guys all use the same
drum sounds though. Very factory preset sound. I heard this
song done live on snl and it sucked bad, but I like the
recording. Goes to show how far production can polish things
up.

I like the gorrilaz track Dare, too. That song is really
infectious to me.

Yeah, I'm a bass addict, really. I just love a track where
it sort of goes, "thump", or something. The dub-ish ending
of "Augmatic Disport" off "Untilted" was a very nice
surprise because of this.

Absolutely nothing interesting in this song. A hook? Kandy
Korn or Trust Us by Captain Beefheart have a hook, this is
boring shit no matter how good the production is.

its ok to like cheap music. Everyone knows this isn't going

Found it. I thought the song was awful but when she dances
at the end, it hits my 'must bang her brains out' zone.
Nice.

"These hiphop guys all use the same

Timbaland invented that sound ten years ago. Before him RnB
was all about swingbeats or samples. He spends days getting
his sounds together. I have way more respect for him than
some little breakcore nerd fucking around with the amen
break for the 1546746585436024562045th time.
