I think it's a very good idea, I think it's also interesting the largely negative response. Good pop music is fantastic, obviously. But as hedphukkerr says, beat fuckery and layering on the fx is one thing, composing a pop song quite another. It's a very good idea though, I'd like to hear what came out of it. Maybe a list of the Best Pop Songs Ever would help, so as to remind younger readers that Pop doesn't always equate Pap. |
