mike oldfield - crystal gazing,
although it's mostly connected with sheer happiness now, the
bad vibes still come through occasionally.

Nine Inch Nails- The Perfect Drug, ha. I guess I was in 8th
grade. And was briefly angsty and upset for some reason I
can't quite recall.

Without You I'm Nothing-Placebo

Infact that entire album. It was a time in my life when I
had finished University, the end of a relationship, a
general feeling of not fitting in and not knowing what to do
with my life.

Another alright thread Monoid, are you feeling well?

Rundgang um die transzendentale Saule der Singularitat by
Burzum. Its a sad song. I listened to it a lot when I was in
a bad place mentally.

Something off of Dave Seaman Back to Mine, I think it's
Goreki. Cheesy, I know, but a g/f lent me the CD when my
life was imploding, total meltdown.

anything with one of those burned out longwinded droning emo
guitar finishes, reminds me of pulling 0 chicks at
nightclubs.

Still get a bit melancholic when listening to it.

Wham - Last Christmas reminds me of the traumatic christmas
party where Staz raped me with a salt grinder while wearing
reindeer horns

the whole album "pomme fritz" by The Orb.

i cannot listen to it anymore because of a horrible LSD
experience.

I don't associate music with bad memories. I've had some bad
trips while listening to music so I guess I'll go with tri
repetae. Had a very bad experience with that album once.
Everytime I listen to it, there are a few tracks on there
that give me slight flashbacks.

the song Blume by Einsturzende Neubauten will forever be
associated for me with that day that everyone talks about
all the time (the one on the news).

It's not so much the songs that remind me of the bad times,
it's the ones that remind me of good times that are over.
Like Vitalic-La Rock '01 reminds me of a clubnight called
Evol I used to love going to in Liverpool, before it moved
venue and became a shitty indie night.

i can't play super mario sunshine without getting really
paranoid and sick now because i had to play it all night to
keep me grounded the one time i ate mushrooms. also, some of
the darker/more paranoid stuff off SAWII reminds me of that
night- especially domino and curtains. that's the only
really bad memory i have that's connected to anything
specific.

solvent - operating ease.
reminds me of when i had really bad ear ache, which i did
when i first listened to it.

The first time I had a bad trip I was listening to A
Beautiful Place Out in the Country...The association hasn't
ruined the music for me fortunately, but its still a pretty
strong association...Also track 4 on disc 1 of SAW2 always
makes me feel anxious and nauseous, though not because I
associate it with any specific memory...It just calls to the
surface some sort of existential terror in me...Its an
unconcious association I guess...

Playing a game as trippy as Mario Sunshine kept you
grounded?

i just needed something to DO. it was just way too crazy to
let my mind/eyes wander around in that state, considering
i'd never been on anything but a little weed now and again
before that. it wasn't really a good time. and it was either
that or resident evil, and i'm shit at that game.
