Has anyone seen it? Is it as bad as I'm dreading?

Im never going to go. I'ts a shame people still going to
those american pictures depravations. Its a shame and its
amazing at the same time. Like a nature's wonder. No, not
that far.

Its more like cow poo

well I enjoyed the first two, I was very surprised. But
this last one seems like a x-men/comic-cliche mash-up from
all I've seen

this ???

i love x-man and other marvel/dc-heroes.

I hated the first film, thought it was laughably bad. but
then I quite enjoyed the second one. then I read some stuff
about the third one and I think I won't bother.

I watched it last night, I didn't like it overall, many of
the characters changed (for example: "Storm" no longer has a
spanish accent, and professor xavier is a naive and
hypocritical dingus...) and had rediculous, out-of-character
bits. I also noticed a lot of the conversations became
stupidly heated, just to excuse a fight scene, or so it
seemed to me. Beast was pretty cool though, and Jean Grey
was a smokin' phoenix.

yeah so, the story basically stunk. surprise.

The only thing I like about these type of movies is, they
make good films appear even better.

well, hated is probably too heavy a word - I just could feel
my body slowly dying while laughing at the screen.

now "Matrix Reloaded" I did hate.. :P

better than i expected. it managed to hold my attention for
the entire duration of the film, which is rare for me. maybe
it was the phoenix. she's damn hot and her out of control
telicanetic field is fucking sexy.

bad points. (spoilers)

the score was far to bombastic and melodramatic. where was
nightcrawler? why replace him with kitty pryde just to have
that really poorly done non-love-triangle. Phoenix was
totally wasted. you could have taken her out of the story,
had xavier and cyclops die in a different way and the film
couldve spent more time developing the 7 or 8 other new
characters it bought in. or better yet not have these two
die and spend the film really building up the idea of the
phoenix before she comes out fo the coma thing. Angel,
Beast, the new bad guys, all pointless. the rush to get the
Phoenix character arc in has fucked the franchise IMO.
Xaviers 'return' at the end of the credits?!?!?! CRAP! that
SheHe who was supposed to be psylocke! EWWW! Pyro and
Icemans 'fight'??? what fight???

good points (spoilers)

beasts fight moves were good. Kitty Pryde is unbelievably
sexy. Phoenixs veins when she goes mental and her powers
looked awesome. Xavier 'popping' HA! the very first scene
where him and magneto are young was cool. nice effects work
and made me think the film was gonna be quality. such a
shame. finally get to see some acting out of cyclops (about
5 mins or so). Wolverine walking through Phoenixs field and
having his skin ripped off but constantly healing. that was
ACE! and his 'i love you' seemed really heartfelt. Magneto
getting his powers back ever so slightly. McKellan ruled
this film and i was so pissed when I thought theyd killed
him off as well. Rogue taking the cure.

but overall i thought i was crap. the x-men films couldve
been a long running series with some brilliant slow boil
character development but the studios rush job with this has
kinda fucked that. they tried to do too much and its such a
shame cos at the heart of it this film has got the 'cure'
premise which is fucking brilliant. oh well. still looking
forward to Ghostrider.

i thought it was excellent, some amazing action set pieces
which were really great. ok the script and characters were
not lovingly made as in the first 2 films, but the action
sequences are probably a tad better

I really really loved Marvel comics as a kid, but that
doesn't mean I want to support garbage like this. Even the
previous two, while "holding some promise", were heartless
and soulless for those with eyes to see.

Fantastic Four, X-Men III, The Hulk, Spider-Man II --- the
list of failed marvel flicks grows... (Don't let me even get
to shit like Daredevil!)

Spiderman II was entertaining. So were the first two X Men.
I have to wait for my GF to come back from Korea, but I look
forward to seeing it.

Its fun movies. I don't want to spend all my time watching
only one kind of movie. Some are serious, some are creative,
and some are fun.

Remember the dude in the bed who had no conciousness?

The scientist woman who's name I've forgotten, McRoggert or
something, goes in there and then Xavier is heard saying
"Hello Moira" or whatever her name was. You can't see if he
spoke it or though it. Bit of a cocktease really.

Um, I'm considering spending some hard earned green-backs on
this movie...should I?

I just want to be entertained (nothing at the art cinema
today).

Will I be, or should I pass? First show starts in half an
hour...
