If it's about Tortoise,
should have been posted here

haha, yeah :D

but maybe any die-hard Tortoise [the band] wouldn't notice
this there, so i decided to make a new topic about it.

besides, it feels so good to make a new topic on a tuesday
afternoon, doesn't it ?

i'm kinda skeptical about "previously unreleased" sets,
they're always a bit lukewarm.

The ponderous lads in Tortoise, who took "post-rock" to the
tip of every hipster's tongue, have a box set in the works.
Titled A Lazarus Taxon, the three-disc set features rare
remixes, limited edition goodies, and tracks previously only
released on compilations. In addition, a DVD will also be
included that will feature videos and live treats. Thrill
Jockey will be releasing the set August 22. Tortoise are
also working on a new full-length, the follow-up to 2004's
It's All Around You, and as great news for obsessive fans,
the band will be performing their legendary album Millions
Now Living Will Never Die in its entirety July 25 in London
as part of All Tomorrow Parties' Don't Look Back series.
Will we see a surprise appearance from then-member David
Pajo? Let's hope.
