International Pony - We Love Music
International Pony had a really good track on the
Schaffelfieber 2 compilation from Kompakt. Also, DJ Koze is
in the group.

Cabaret Voltaire - 2 X 45
I love Red Mecca, The Crackdown and Micro-Phonies and I
wanted more. This one got a high score at AMG.

The Cure - The Head on the Door
I've always liked what I've heard from the Cure, so it was
time to check out some of their albums. According to AMG,
this is one of their best.

Ride - Nowhere
I've been trying to acquire this for a while. Supposedly one
of the classic shoegaze albums. Sounds very promising so
far.

Beirut - Gulag Orkestar
Read about this at Pitchfork. Looked interesting. Haven't
listened to it yet.

a reverb plugin demo,
the first two tracks off BoC at ATP 2001 (counts as 2 DLs),
razorlame,
lame.

Why?

Reverb plugin for a music project I'm working on.

BoC tracks because I've not heard them yet and want to.

Razorlame because I lost my previous copy in a HD crash and
I needed to convert a .wav of something I was working on to
.mp3 to allow me to email it to someone.

Lame, for the same reason as razorlame and because it's a
pre-requisite of razorlame.

Why is i_x_ten a cock?
Why is i_x_ten a cock?
Why is i_x_ten a cock?
Why is i_x_ten a cock?
Why is i_x_ten a cock?

I've only downloaded one album recently and I can't remember
before that...anyway...

Chino XL - Poison Pen
The quality of his word play is second to none...seriously
one of the best lyricists out there and has been for over a
decade. This album was heavily bootlegged and so a lot of
the tracks are well known to anyone who has listened t his
music through the years. The production is sometimes a
little shakey but given the strength of what is said it
doesn't detract too much. If you've never heard any of his
stuff I recommend all three official albums, although they
are a product of their time as he uses a lot of references
to modern culture.

Worth getting, yes.

I am buying the CD in the next couple of days.

Oh yes...I didn't think about legal downloads. In that case
the other four comprise of sheffieldbleeps old school mix,
fah & impakts joint release, tolsts easy listening mix
(which I haven't listened to yet) and loads of individual
tracks.

I think there is another mix I have downloaded but I can't
remember who by or what type of music. I haven't listened
to it yet and it's not on this PC.

Islands- Return to the Sea- the Pitchfork crowd keeps
trumpeting this. OK orchestralesque pop, but no catchy songs
or golden hooks to be found. Just really well produced
stuff, doubt it'll last long with me.

A 7 minute gameplay demonstration of Heavenly Sword for PS3.
Take my 600 dollars, Sony, take it!

Morton Feldman- Patterns in a Chromatic Field- really long,
experimental pieces. Downloaded it because it was there in
someone's folder looking good and I like Feldman's
soundscapes.

Trees- The Christ Tree- weird religious psychedelic folk
album I wanted for a while so I got it. Pretty awesome
stuff, like I expected.

Volebeats- Solitude- saw it namedropped on Piero Scaruffi's
website, really moving and flaky alt-country and I LOVE IT.

2. Der Zyklus - Mxzyptik EP
3. MANTRA - Age Of Aquarius
4. Speedy J and Larry Heard - Balance Three o Three
5. Ole Livars byr på diskodans

Font Creator Program 5.0 - cuz' I need to modify fucking
times new roman font to work with hindi diacritic signs.

I'm currently downloading "Advance" by LFO, don't know why
exactly, maybe because I have never heard anything by them,
and the 2 first tracks are promising.

And last week also: "That EP" - Gescom

#1 Reel 2 Real - Move It!
#2 Reel 2 Real - Go On Move
#3 East 17 - Around The World- The Journey So Far
#4 Trojan Dub Set Volume 1
#5 Trojan Dub Set Volume 2

I had to pretty up the list, to make it seem less
embarrasing - namely because of the trojan sets...

Datach'i - Shock Diamonds
Grabbed it just to see what Datach'i sounds like.

Datach'i - The Elements
Enjoyed shock diamonds so much I grabbed this, this is an
amazing album. I can't beleive I'd never heard Datach'i
before.

Datach'i - Mmale and Ffemale
This one is great also, but not as great as the elements.

Les Bizguiz
The video I linked to in my latest thread. Cool vid.

Squarepusher - Do you know squarepusher
My last attempt to try squarepusher. Still don't like his
stuff, with the exception of a few awesome tracks. I just
don't feel a consistency with his music.
