After making some of the great artistic d n b tracks of his
generation why does he seem to release some average tracks
these days? This is one of the great unanswered questions of
our time surely?

He got older, got married, got happy, became settled and
Rupert doesn't have the darkness in him any more.

that might be the ultimate answer. it helps me not to hate
Rupert for not having created Modus Operandi Opus II

I don't care what anyone says, there's really no excuse for
"solaris". What a turd of a record that was.

I agree with everything that was said above.
He has moved to America, with everyone kiss'in it all the
time it is easy to go up you own arse.
Relics This record is all right.

He needs to get connected to the scene. Check out some
Bristol Grime.
Play out, freak all this producer business.

i would say (as mostly of you) modus operandi is and was his
best release.

His new stuff on photek production is quit cool aswell,
especially PPRO 13VS and PPRO 12VS.

a 'mate' once said that aphex was photek. i got really
pissed off by this, not because i cared but his sheer
arrogance annoyed me. i nearly decked him. of course he was
right. god its 5pm and i'm pissed. woe is me. better update
my blog.

i think the stuff he is doing with TKDBZ or whatever is
good. i saw photek not that long ago and it was definetly
one of the best dnb set's i've witnessed.

perhaps your disappointment is a matter of personal taste
differences?

ultimately what photek's dancey-stuff comes down to is
making people dance. when someone drops a photek beat,
everyone moves.
