Me and a friend watched Nausicaa of the valley of the wind
(miyazaki) on mute with the subs on and listened to FSOL -
lifeforms. So many moments went together perfectly. Highly
recommended to try.

Also, Bjorks nature is ancient video goes very well with
Aphex Twins SAW II disc one track 4 'grass'.

Share some sync stuff that you've come across (usually
happens out of boredom)

I was quite stoned during nausicaa, but I assure you that it
still went together very well :)

hahaha! I will try that someday, just for fun.

Another thing that always syncs well..
Find a show on tv, one where the actors use alot of hand
gestures (not hard to find) usually 80s reruns of mystery
shows. Then put on some violent/vulgar rap and watch them
spit rhymes!

I do this all the time, I like eeye candy whilst listening.
I found some great synch ups.
Try iron monkey with UNKLE's first album if you start the
music just before the film you should get some awsome
synching with all the kung fu.

I also like putting beastie boys on whilst watching charlie
chaplin.

I used to do this to old time (30s-40s) loony toon cartoons
and random aphex twin songs. It would never stay on sync for
very long, but the number of times it would sync up every
episode was still pretty good.

hahaha, I like the idea of the rap-spitting, gwely. I'll
definately have to try that.

I was in a car this morning, listening to a work in progress
version of a track I'd been working on and a man with quite
an exaggerated limp (making John Wayne look like a ballet
dancer in comparison) came hobbling down the road with his
shambling gait synching perfectly with the off-kilter
2 step beat of the kick drum in my track. It was one of
those moments that will stay with me for a long time.

I actually downloaded Nausicaa with subs, muted it, and gave
the entire two hour film an FSOL ONLY soundtrack, being the
free time loser I am. It turned out very well actually. It's
very big and broken into 7 parts. If anyone is interested in
this, I'm sharing it on slsk.

I really surprised myself and friends with this one. I made
sure it synced perfectly, and I had their entire discog to
trial and error with the scenes.

Somehow hearing that you mixed Life Forms and Nausicaa made
me go: "oh yea, that could work!" It's so obvious for some
reason.
