Yo! Post the names of movie soundtracks with electronic
music, you would like to recommend.

Me: The music to the last Solaris-movie.

Aaah. Pi is obvious. Did Requiem also contain electronica?
All I remember from Life Aquatic was the spanish Bowie songs

most john carpenter films contain amzing soundtracks written
by the man himself -
check darkstar, assault on precinct 13, halloween, the fog,
escape from new york.

wendy carlos`s theme from clockwork orange is pretty
stunning too although the rest of the soundtrack aint all
electronic.......

I was thinkin' about the soundtracks that little guy made
for the documentaries with something like a casiotone in the
boat's kitchen...

Forbidden Planet. not that the soundtrack is that good, but
it was the first entirely electronic soundtrack. Jack
dangers remade it too.

the film Octane was amazingly shite. The soundtrack wasnt
that good either, it really doesnt do Orbital justice.

there's a huge amount of filmscores using electronic music,
in fact, I own quite a lot.

listen to the next The Cut this saturday, when a
friend and myself will be playing 2 hours of electronic
music from soundtracks!

what a coincidence (we planned to do this theme a few months
ago).

oh oh oh.

not strictly electronica, but the Bilitis soundtrack is
great. it makes you feel like you're in a 70s softcore porn
flick (which I guess the movie really is - haven't seen it.
reissued on dvd in april, wooo)

I DRINK YOUR BLOOD. And Last House on the Left and
like-minded stuff... I love silly synth noodling. It can
kill a mood, and I like that. Very bold.

Fight Club soundtrack is ace, it's by the Dust Brothers, and
although perhaps not completely electronic, it has kinda
electro and electronicy bits to it.
