Hi there everyone,

This looks like a pretty cool community here, have been
looking for ideal electronic music sites such as this to
frequent (so if you know any more good ones, please let me
know)

ANYWAY I'm here like everyone else to get to know other
electronic musicians and producers, maybe hook up some
remixes sometime or just exchange views, ideas, hints tips
and all that, and hey maybe even discover some cool music
along the way. So please have a check of my solo project
"Strontium Joe". If you're on myspace, please add yourself
to my friends list. and if not, say hello anyway, let us
know what ya think!

Click here for the Strontium Joe myspace page

thanks for spamming on your first post, amazing! there's
already a thread for introducing yourself, so if you would
bother reading the forums for a fucking MINUTE before
shitting out more garbage for us poor people to wade in? oh
well.

again, thanks for this generic first post crap.

Wow, you know what? I've been around the net meeting lots of
electronic musicians in such a way and I've been welcomed
with open arms and met some really great people. What a
shame this site seems to have lots of sarcastic no hoper
pricks. Manners cost you nothing. Such people are a
disease.

May i suggest you concentrate your efforts on a more
productive and positive direction....anyone can be a bitch.

By the way Euphonic, I like Myspace, yes the site design is
piss poor but it does what it says on the tin really...it's
nice when your tunes play instantly when you visit the
page...straight to the point. Who needs all the fancy
graphics?...you can say all you need to say with music.

Tridenti, nice one dude I will go look at your page too and
do an add.

You know, you CAN use the internet for more useful things
than just slagging people you don't know off.

Come on, see if you can stratch to using a couple more brain
cells eh?

Next time you take it upon yourself to act like a cunt to
me, you better make sure it's because i'm being a cunt to
you first.

I don't think its anything personal. Spammers usually aren't
welcome here. At least you came back to defend yourself, but
you might find your account deleted in the next little
while.

I guess the community would rather have people from the
community spamming them then people outside the community.
Its kind of like, your sitting at a table with a bunch of
friends, and then someone sits down with you, says about two
sentances, drops a bunch of flyers down on the table and
then walks off.

How aout people who make music, who love music , who live
music?

They don't count do they not?

You are sat a table with a bunch of friends who all make
music, someone else comes along with similar interests and
tells them about what he does AND shows interest in what YOU
do....you just tell him to fuck off do you?

It is a sorry state of affairs when people on a MUSIC site
care more about internet etiquette than MUSIC.

If your entire usage of the internet consists of spamming,
you might not really see it as being anything but normal.
Its all relative right?

To a lot of people, your walking in and spamming
automatically is as rude as someone just dissing you after
the first message. That still doesn't excuse people for
going overboard with the insults...

How prey tell do you know all my uses for the internet. Like
I said in my first post, to get to know other
electronic musicians and producers, maybe hook up some
remixes sometime or just exchange views, ideas, hints tips
and all that, and hey maybe even discover some cool music
along the way.

To be honest I don't NEED you to listen to my music. I'm
already making money from music as I am a full time music
producer, recording various artists of various styles in my
recording studio. You can call it spam if you like, but
you'd be wrong, because I am here to share music and musical
ideas with similar musical minds. You are mistaken if you
think i'm desperately trying to make you all "fans" in a
persuit to get signed to some big record company or
something. I am here for the music...and no amount of
internet etiquette is particularly relevant.

i think it's quite essential to bother to lurk in a
new community and get a feel for it. just barging in with
some spamming really contributes very little in the long
run.

i'll give your music a listen though, i try to listen to
everything that goes by here. except for 'progressive trance
mixes' etc. like taxi says, it's really nothing personal.
but a lot of people come in, whore their shit and care about
nothing else regarding the site.

I thought your music was good, certainly different from the
usual "electronic" fare one hears on the nets, but not quite
my cup of tea so I can't really say very much constructive
about it. But, good. Maybe tell us all if you have any
particular influences, music you like, that sort of thing,
let's get to meet the man behind Strontium Joe, what makes
him tick!

A lot of us are bitter shits here, god knows I am.

I dunno maybe!

It's a radioactive element as far as I know. It's a
reference to the Strontium Dogs, the mutant bounty hunters
in 2000AD. ...Mutated after the world war which left
devastating levels of radiation in the cursed earth.

Hello nice folks! It's good see you exist here...cool :)

Influences, anything. I produce music of all styles so I
guess my influences come from some many areas...drum n bass
such as ed rush and optical, IDM such as Aphex Twin, Hip hop
stuff like Ice Cube and all that bunch, Alt rock stuff like
SMashing pumpkins even, sonic youth, old skool hardcore
rave, Reggae dub like Lee Scratch Perry or King Tubby, i
dunno...i just make music.

OK OK I can't be arsed with over-reactionary feminists
either.

Don't get me wrong, I believe in equality but
over-reactionary feminist bullshit is just plain rubbish. We
can't speak in this country anymore. Thank god for the likes
of south park, which illustrates that we can take the piss
without heavy consequences. Bottom line...women take the
piss out of men ALL THE TIME so shut up woman and get back
to the kitchen sink!

(couldn't resist)

And anyway there's nothing sexist about suggesting a woman
on PMT is hard work.....you ALL agree, both male and female.
And if you don't, then you're living on another planet and
you must be referring to another species.
